Francisco Ontiveros of * McHenry was admitted to Morris, 111., hospital Monday morning after he was injured in an accident fit that area. According toNlocal police, his car was eastbouhd when it went out of control about 7:40 in the morning. The autjb skidded into the other lane/on a bridge, where it collijiwi with a truck. The Ontiveros vehicle was demolished. A number of fender bender automobile accidents were reported in McHenry during the past week, none resulting in substantial injuries, ponce indicated. One car was demolished in a collision at 6:22 p.m. Dec. 5, at the intersection of Hanley and Crystal Lake road. Howard H. Snyder, 4708 Chesterfield drive, McHenry, drove out on to Crystal Lake road, and his car was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by John R. Van Duyn, 4706 Garden Quarter, McHenry. Snyder said he thought he had enough time to get into traffic, but the other driver had to brake to avoid, and his car slid into the side of Snyder's auto. Snyder received slight injuries in the crash, but refused treatment. Damage to vehicles was total for Snyder and $500 for Van Duyn. Michael G. Folliard, 5010 Hilltop drive, Wonder Lake, was ticketed for failing to yield on a left turn following a collision at 12:02 p.m. Dec. 4 on Route 120 at Millstream. Police indicated that Folliard had pulled out from Millstream and struck a car driven by Alicia D. Casey, 401 N. Country Club road, McHenry, in the rear fender. Folliard said the other car must have been in his blind spot. Damage to the vehicles was estimated to be $100 to each. A sideswipe collision was reported at 6:10 a.m. Dec. 1 at the intersection of Crystal Lake road and Main street between cars driven by Betty D. Kline, 2720 Myang and Joan A. Locke, 1406 Nokomis, both of McHenry. Ms. Kline told police she was driving south on Crystal Lake road at Main and was turning left when her car was hit in the left rear. Ms. Locke said she was in the inside southbound lane when the other car made a left turn from the right lane and she was unable to miss the Kline car. No tickets or injuries wore reported. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $100. A rear end collision due to the slippery highway surface was reported at 7:24 a.m. Dec. 1, Route 120 at Front Royal. Ronald G. Gabel, 7501 South drive, Wonder Lake, said he had to stop in traffic; and Joan P. Cameron, 7615 Center drive, Wonder Lake, said her car skidded on the ice and slid into the rear of the Gabel vehicle. Damages to each car were estimated at $150. A reverse rear end collision was reported at 4:47 p.m. Nov. 30 on Crystal Lake road at the Route 120 intersection. Penelope L. Dolan, 1707 N. Park lane, McHenry, backed her car into another vehicle behind her driven by Katherine M. Bojko, 918 Meadowlark drive, McHenry. Ms. Dolan said she was backing up to drive around a car stalled in front of her, and she didn't see the car in back of her. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $100. A four-car collision involving two drivers was reported at 6:49 a.m. Nov. 30 near 1306 Front street, police said. Two parked cars belonging to Matthew J. Oik, 1306 N. Front street, received $150 damages each. David J. Miller, 3613 Ellen, McHenry, said he was driving north wnen a van driven by Bernard L. A McHenry motorist was involved in a collision on Crystal Lake road, north of Crystal Lake, at 6 p.m. Dec. 5, according to the McHenry County Sneriffs department. Kerry G. Jernigan, 3939 Main street, McHenry, was reported to have pulled out from a drive on the east side of Crystal Lake road near Hillside into the path of a northbound car driven by Dwight C. Teeter, 13813 Washington drive, Woodstock. Teeter said he was unable to stop in time, and he hit the Jernigan car. Jernigan told deputies that he believed Teeter was traveling On Dec. 5 at 4:50 p.m. Steve Ludwig, 5514 E. Lake Shore drive, Wonder Lake, accidentally spun out his car on Ringwood road, south of Martin, and collided with a vehicle driven by Mary M. Cooper, 1010 Pine street, Fox River Grove. No injuries were reported, but the . Cooper vehicle was demolished. Ludwig's' car sustained $800 in damage. l Ludwig said he was northbound on Ringwood at about 30 mph. and lost control on the icy surface.
