In 1»I4, she married Mike l»ivcllc who preceded her in (loath. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs George Diederich, and three grandchildren, all of Streator, and two sisters, Mayme Buss and Mrs. John 'Vera) Hensley, both of McHenry. In addition to her husband, she was preceded jn death by a son, Maurice l^avelle. in 1956. Funeral services were scheduled for Ham. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at St Anthony church, Streator, with burial at the church cemetery JOHN SVALANDER Memorial services were held at the First Congregational church of Crystal Lake Mon­ day, T)ec. 12, for John Svalander. Mr. Svalander, 52, was pronounced dead on arrival at Northwest Com­ munity hospital Tuesday, Dec. 6, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. A former McHenry resident, he made his home at 83 Wood­ stock, Crystal Lake. ; Mr. Svalander was born in Gothem, Sweden Sept. 30, 1925, the son of Tage and Esther ;Taube> Svalander. • In recent years, he and his wife. Judith Conway, operated a dance studio in McHenry. At the time of his death, he was co-artistic director of the Bicentennial dance theatre of McHenry county; manager of Scandinavian Design at the Woodfield Mall; and a member of the Swedish National Touring Dan^e theatre of Sweden. • . - He married Judith <Conway) Dec. B, 1969, in Eapland, Sweden, who survives. He also leaves three sons, Ralph. Stefan, and Ian Svalander of Sweden; one grandson; a sister, Mrs. Ingalarin Zachrisson; and two brothers. Bo Nyberg and Christian Svalander, all of Sweden. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Bicentennial Dance theatre, c-o the McHenry State bank. , KOBEKT II. SORENSEN The K.K. Hansher funeral home of Fox Lake held 11 o'clock chapel services Mon­ day, Dec. 12, for Robert H. Sorensen, the father of Ted (Skip* Sorensen of McHenry. Mr Sorensen, 53, of Fox Lake, died at McHenry hospital Thursday. Dec H Mr Sorensen was born Feb 27, 1924, in Chicago He was a World War II Army veteran and employed by Baxter Lab as a mold maker for 7 years He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church of Long Lake, and the Fox Lake Lions club. His wife, Marian 'Peterson) Sorensen survives along with his son, Ted of McHenry; two daughters, Mrs. Howard 'Karen) Tisch of Crystal Lake and Jean Marie Sorensen at home; a granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Sorensen of Fox Lake; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Jo Anne) Gumprechtof Crystal Lake and Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Wagner of McHenry. He was preceded in death by his father, Emil. Interment was at Irving Park cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorial con­ tributions may be made to the Lions of Illinois foundation. JOSEPH II. KELLY Wonder !>ake resident Joseph II. Kelly. 63, was pronounced dead on arrival Friday af­ ternoon. Dec. 9, at McHenry hospital. He had made his home at 8801 Coral road. Mr. Kelly was born in Chicago Jan. 10, 1914, the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Voss> Kelly. . He was employed as a lithographer at Ball Metal and Decorating company of Chicago for 40 years until retirement in 1974. Mr Kelly was a Wonder Lake summer resident for 10 years and had lived there per­ manently for the past 3 years. He was a member of Local 245 Graphic Arts union and the Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329. His widow, Irene (Klasen) Kelly whom he married Aug 28, 1943, in Chicago, survives. . Rt. 12, Fox Lake, died Monday, Dec. 12, at Seminole Memorial hospital at the age of 65. Mrs. Klein was born Oct. 23, 1912, the daughter of William and Chrisfina (Weber) Britz. A Fox Lake resident for the past 31 years, she had formerly lived in Johnsburg and Spring Grove. She was a member of St. Bede's Catholic church, Ingleside, and the church Sanctuary Sodality, the Fox l*ake Garden club, the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Agatha Court 777, the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce and the lx)tus Women's club. , She was a former member of St. Peter's Catholic church. Spring Grove, St. John's the Baptist Catholiff church, Johnsburg, former director of the Fox Lake library board and a former Fox Lake Lioness. She served as president in many of the organizations. At one time, she was a correspondent for the McHenry Plaindealer. She married Arthur M. Klein Oct. 26, 1932, in St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg. He survives along with three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Misiek of Fox Lake, Mrs. Wendell (Patricia) Gardner of Deltona, Fla. and Mrs. John 'Peggy) Craver of Schaum- berg: four grandsons; one granddaughter; three brothers, Ben Britz of Florida, Henry Britz of Rockford and Norman Britz of Noble. Ill; four sisters; Frances Prosser and Marie Miller, both of Ingelside, Nora Klaus and Shirley Bereiter, both of Fox Lake; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Klein was preceded in death by an infant son,an infant daughter, and'three brothers. A memorial Mass was scheduled at St. Bede's Catholic church, Ingleside, Wednesday. Dec. 14. There was no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requested Masses in the name of the deceased. Arrangements were handled by the K.K. Hamsher funeral home. Fox Lake. IIKKMAN G. KRAPF Herman G. Krapf, 69, of 4410 W. Ashley drive. Whispering Oaks, McHenry, died at Memorial hospital, Woodstock, Tuesday, Dec. 12. Mr. Krapf was born in IjAVerne, N.D. May 22,1908, the son of George and Rose (Siegle) Krapf. He had been a McHenry resident for the past 4 years after retirement as a dairy farmer in Burlington, Wis. Survivors include his wife, Frida (Stettner) whom he married Oct. 3, 1931, in Chicago; a son, Howard H. Krapf of Westchester, III. and a brother, Edwin Krapf of San Diego, Ca. The Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home scheduled visiting hours Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev.' Herman Graef of the Zion Lutheran church was scheduled to of­ ficiate at chapel services Wednesday at 1 p.m. with burial at Woodland cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Memorial fund. .IOSKPII S. GFKAMBIO Services were held at St. Priscilla Catholie church, Chicago. Monday, Dec. 12, for Joseph S. Gerambia of 1620 N. Pleasant avenue, Lakeland Park, McHenry. Mr. Gerambio died at Harvard Memorial hospital Thursday, Dec. 8, at the age of 62. Mr Gerambio was born Dec. 18. 1914. His widow, Helen (Schafer) Gerambio survives as well as a son. Thomas; three grand­ children; his mother, Mary Gerambio; two brothers, Michael and Frank Gerambio; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Jennie) Caponetto and Josephine. He was preceded in death by his father, Vito, and a sister. Burial was at St. Joseph cemetery. River Grove. Local arrangements were handled by the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. Land Purehase . To Be Considered For Conservation The regular meeting of the board of trustees of the McHenry County Conservation district, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 15 in the offices of the district, 142-4 Washington street, Woodstock, has been cancelled and rescheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 22. As part of the public agenda of this rescheduled meeting the trustees will take action on the purchase of Vulcan Materials site 470 located in Section 2 and II of Algonquin township.
