BONATO Grandmother Hand Crochets Bridal Gown Donna Marie Pollock wore a white hand crocheted bridal gown designed and made by her grandmother, Mrs. Anna ; DiVita, when she and her bridegroom. Jeffrey K. Bonato, repeated the commitments of marriage. The bride was escorted to the altar of St. Mary s Catholic church by her father for the 2:30p.m. double ring ceremony Saturday, Jan. 7. Before ap­ proaching the Rev. Norbert Rackensperger, she placed a bouquet at the altar of the Blessed Virgin. Bouquets of gladioli decorated the altar and St. Mary's choir provided the musical selections. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil R Pollock of 1706 N. Court street, McHenry. and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bonato of 2618 W. Kashmiri. McHenry The floor length bridal gown '. was an original design of the ; bride's grandmother and was crocheted from white Lily Frostone crochet thread. The : waistline gown with a satin - lining was crocheted of lover's • knot with the bodice, cuffs and PHOTOGRAPHY BY GAYLORD border of the skirt accented with shell stitch and double crochet woven with white satin ribbon. Her cathedral length train was also crocheted of lover's knot with a border of shell stitch and double crochet and was detachable at the waist. Her fingertip length - illusion veil fell from a mat­ ching headpiece of shell stitch and double crochet accented with seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of baby orchids, stephanotis and baby's breath. Among the attendants were three sisters of the bride Janet Pollock of Woodstock assisted as maid of honor with sisters Carolyn Betlinski of Woodstock 4 and Sandra Pollock of McHenry; Karen Bonato of McHenry. the groom's sister; and Amy Paugels of Buffalo Grove, II., acting as bridesmaids. The attendants were gowned in deep coral-rose sleeveless polyester styled in A line skirts which draped from empire waistlines. Long sleeved hooded coats trimmed with matching maribou were worn to complete the outfits The emsembles were designed by the bride's great aunt. Felecia Eden, who was assisted with the sewing by the bride's sister, Janet Pollock. McHenry Club Program Slates Sewing Demonstration When the McHenry county Christian Women's club meets for luncheon Wednesday. Jan. 11, at Martinetti's restaurant, Crystal Lake, a special program will feature a stretch and sew demonstration. During the 12 noon to 2 o'clock meeting, music will be provided by Jolene Hagerman of Crystal Lake. New Officers And Members Introduced Double Dilemma Mothers of Twins club met at 8 p.m.. Tuesday, Jan. 10 at St Paul's church. 485 Woodstock street. Crystal Lake. This was the first meeting of the new year so time was alloted to get acquainted with the newly elected officers and new members. Goals and projects for the coming year were also discussed. Ardella Anderson, chairman for the spring luncheon gave a report on reservations with LaSalette center chosen. President Nies gave suggestions for raising money and how senior citizens can help one another with friendly visiting, transportation, shopping errands and some household chores. A training program will be held at McHenry County Center to help those wishing to participate in the Fireproof program. County Lamaze Mothers Observe Second Year The McHenry County Lamaze Mothers celebrated their second anniversary Monday. Jan 9 at 7:30 in the home of Libby Poppalardo. 315 Meridian lane. Crystal Lake The McHenry County Lamaze Parent organization was founded two years ago to provide new parents with in­ formation and assistance in raising their children. The group sponsors lectures, seminars, teas, and a Helpline service to assist members. The newest member of the family, 2 month old Jason Kanable, was warmly welcomed by approximately fifteen relative*. Five generations are nothing new for the family, thi> being the fourth time grandchild has met great-great grandparent.
