SUPPIEMENT TO McHENRY PLAINDEALER - PAGE 26 - WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1*78 Lake by the score of 45 to 40 in a game that both teams would probably like to forget. Cindy Beyer, a senior at West campus, was named to the North Suburban All Conference volleyball team by a vote of coaches. The young lady was the mainstay of the Warrior girls this season, and had a reputation as a "good server". The Lake Forest varsity out- wrestled the wrestling Warriors in a home duel. McHenry wrestlers failed to pin anyone, while Lake Forest chalked up four pins. Senior Tim Oakley increased his season to 7-0-1, while wins brought up the records of sophomore Bruce Brda and senior Mike Zimmerman to 7-1- o and 6-1-1 respectively. The McHenry Warrior Booster club membership reached 105 at the last meeting. The attendance was small due to bad weather. Schedules for all sports were passed out to the members and attendance at sport functions urged. The McHenry high Junior Varsity I wrestling team defeated Lake Forest by the score of 30 to 29. It was a nip and tuck affair throughout the i evening. On The Sideline by Dick Rabbitt: "That's right fans, the Mundelein Mustangs defeated our Warriors 64 to 57 last Tuesday night. Why the Mustangs wanted to travel on a snow packed highway, and in blizzard conditions, is anybody's guess". Faced with a seven point halftime deficit, the McHenry high sophomores rallied for 43 points in the second half to defeat Marian Central 67 to 47. Coach Gary Gray's McHenry freshmen cagers had a very productive weekend, as they won three games to extend their record to 5 wins and 1 loss. They defeated Crown 64 to 50, Lake Forest 53 to 42, -and Mundelein 51 to 44. Families Saddened By Numerous Deaths In '77 JANUARY Jan 1--A restaurateur in the area for thirty years, Raymon G. Nikola, died at Memorial hospital. Jan 3-Dan R. Ohlson, 21, died at St. Therese hospital, Waukegan, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident which occurred Dec. 30. Walter P. Faust of Wonder Lake died while visiting in Houston, Tex., at the age of 73. Jan 4-Miss Nel K. Stanton, a lifelong resident of Western Lake county and a teacher in Lake county schools for over forty-five years, died at the age of 76. A McHenry resident most of her life, Evelyn Marunde, died at Spooner hospital. Wis. Jan. 5-Many years of poor health ended for Monica Morris, formerly of McHenry, who died in Amory, Miss. Jan. 7-A McHenry resident all of her life, Aleta Belle Lindemulder, 71, died at her home. Raymond B Woodruff, 67, died in McHenry hospital. Jan. 8-A funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary's Catholic church for Clara T. Kaiser who died at Memorial hospital. Homer M. Douglass of 4221 Clearview died at McHenry hospital. Jan. 9--Arthur A. Miller of McCullom Lake was found dead at his home. Jan. 10-Gilbert Conklin of Front Royal drive, McHenry, died in Chicago after an ex­ tended illness. Thomas Francis Hollian of 3305 W. Pearl street, died in McHenry hospital. Jan 13-Howard S. Voeltz, 53, formerly of McHenry, died at his home in Sycamore. Jan. 15-Donald J. Nordholz of McHenry died at McHenry hospital at the age of 50. Robert Lamz, a McHenry resident for many years died at McHenry hospital at the age of 47. Paul R. Steinle, formerly of Wonder Lake, died in Chicago. Jan. 17-Bertha Motsinger, mother of Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Buckner of McHenry died at the Sunset Manor Nursing home, Woodstock. Jan. 18--Miss Verena C. Justen, born in McHenry, died in the Whitehall Nursing home, Chicago. Jan. 19-Walter Kalbow, 76, was found dead in his trailer home located on the John Hogan farm, Barnard Mill road. Dorothea Meier, 90, the mother of Mrs. George (Ruth) Mrachek, died in Minnesota. Jan. 16-WiHiam T.
