Each member donned a shamrock insignia by Jeanette Driscoll. Refreshments too, served by hostesses Frances Wtihalm, Olivia Bauer and Marie'Thelen had that touch of green and went tastily along with the hot beverage. The main order of business was the appointing of delegates to the state convention in Chicago to be held April 29 and 30 at the Bismarck hotel and Holy Name cathedral. Regent Mary Agnes Hartmann and Vice Regent Bertilla Freund are these delegates. Bertilla is also the state chairman delegate for the Apostolate. The theme of the convention is "In the Service of the Church". More details are included in the spring letter Regent Mary Agnes Hartmann is forwarding to each member regarding the annual spring card party at 8 o'clock April 6 in D.C. hall, and the Mother's day banquet May 16 at 6:30 at McHenry Country club. The Communion Mass and breakfast date is Sunday, May 7, at Christ the King church, Wonder Lake. Chaplain Father Tranel gave his thoughts on Holy Week which Palm Sunday is the highlight of, as Christ's entry into Jerusalem depicts victory over death and sin.
