After the first two weeks of free rides, bus fares will be 30 cents for local trips and 50 cents for intracommunityrides. A transfer from one bus to another when the other routes are operating will be 10 Cciits. Senior citizens and handicapped persons can ride at half-fare. Q. Where can a Senior Citizen or handicapped person obtain a reduced-fare pass? A. Reduced fare passes can be obtained at the RTA Regional Affairs office, 101 Main street,s Crystal Lake. Q. How many bus routes will eventually be in operation in the area? A. Beginning early in June, routes between Harvard and Crystal Lake (through Woodstock), between Woodstock and McHenry (through Crystal Lake), between Crystal Lake and Elgin (through Algonquin), and an evening and weekend route between McHenry and Woodstock (through Crystal Lake! and serving MCC) will be in operation. Q. Where will the bus stop? Besides the designated stops on all routes (which will be marked by signs at a later date), the buses will stop at any intersection along the route where it is safe to stop, if a rider motions to the driver requesting a ride. Q. When will the buses arrive in McH«nry? A. All bus routes are scheduled to arriveat McHenry city hall every hour on the half-hour. All routes will arrive at approximately the same time so riders can transfer to another route without delay. Q. Who will operate the buses? A. Waukegan-North Chicago Transit company, funded by the RTA, will operate Route 806. RTA buses will be used on the routes. Q. How can more information be obtained concerning RTA services? A. The RTA operates a 24-hour-a-day Telephone Information center that can be called toll-free anytime to obtain information about routes, schedules, or fares anywhere in the RTA region. What time will Route 806 begin operating? A. Eastbound 806 will depart from the Crystal Lake train station at 6:32 a.m. and arrive at McHenry city hall at 6:50 a.m. Westbound 806 will depart from the Fox Lake train station at 5:52 a.m. and arrive at McHenry city hall at 6:12 a.m. Q. What streets will Route 806 travel? A. Westbound Route 806 after leaving Fox Lake, will travel Ringwood road to Johnsburg Wilmot road, to Chapel Hill road in Johnsburg, to Route 120 (Elm street), to Green street, to Bull Valley road, to Route 31 to Crystal Lake. Q. Where will the bus stop in McHenry? A. Designated stops will be city hall, the hospital and clinic, East campus and the library and the train station, to meet the passenger trains. Each bus will stop at any intersection where it is safe to do so, when there is a rider signalling to request a ride. Q. When will the buses cease operation? A. BRANCH I COURT Associate Judge In hearings before Judge Michael Sullivan on May 16, Edward J. Breit, 5217 West- wood drive, was found guilty of possession of open alcoholic liquor and was fined $25 and costs. Todd A. Lindsten, Cary, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was fined $100 and costs and placed on six month court supervision with no judgement being entered. Charlotte A. Thompson, Woodstock, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of retail theft under $150 and was fined $50 and costs and placed on three month court supervision with no judgement being entered. MARRIAGE ® LICENSES Applications for marriage licenses at the McHenry County Clerk's office were recently made by: William S. Johnson, Wonder Lake, and Julie A. Donahoe, Woodstock; Frederick W. Last Call For Low Income Medical Aid The McHenry County Housing Authority is currently accepting applications from low income McHenry county residents for help with utility or medical bills. A recent change in the regulations of the Emergency Energy Assistance Payments program allows payment of bills not previously allowed under this program. The income limits have also been revised upward with a one person household allowed $3,925 per year with $1,275 for each additional family member. The program ends this Saturday, May 20, and ap­ plications must be completed by that time. Office hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., in­ cluding Saturday, until the end of the program so that all eligible applications may be processed. Persons who have already contacted the Housing Authority are urged to call again to see if they now qualify under the revised regulations.
