Some bills were presented from the Vvduna's for postage and materials from the Share-the- Fun skit Mr Beutel then announced that there was a softball game on the thirteenth of June at 7:30 in Richmond It was also announced that the road signs for Johnsburg were in and would be put up soon. Also a picnic will be held July 8 at Vyduna's house. It is going to be a potluck type of lunch There is going to be a chance for 4-H members to judge livestock in Woodstock Friday, June 16, from 9 to 12 that morning. The meeting was then ad journed to a presentation on junk food by the members of the Exploring 4-H project and a talk on crocheting by Jeanette May. This old fashioned melodrama, com plete with hero, villain and "Little Nell", will be offered beginning Friday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 4, each evening at 8 p.m. in an im mense tent erected in Mc- Cormick park, a city park on Route 14 in Crystal Lake. Tickets are available at the door. Satisfy Almost $1,000 Worth Of Appetites The pancake breakfast sponsored by the Johnsburg high school Athletic Booster club Sunday, June 11, from 7-1 p.m., in the Johnsburg Com munity club, was well attended and enjoyed. Thomas Schoening, president, along with other officers and volunteers cooperated in planning and working for the success of this first un dertaking. A fantastic amount, just short of $1,000 was realized! It could not have happened without the guests who attended. PHYSICALS NIGHT For Johnsburg high school students and Junior high school, will be Friday, July 28, at the Junior high school, for all in coming sophomores, juniors and seniors, and incoming sixth, seventh and eighth graders. There will be a nominal fee charged. Incoming fifth graders and freshmen must have a physical from their family physician, according to State law. All reports are to be at the Junior high school before Wednesday, Aug. 16, to enable students to participate in any sports. JUNIOR OUTING Junior court, , National Catholic Society of Foresters, outing will be the Cub's baseball game, July 19. Per mission slips can be picked up from Mrs. Dick Hiller, Mrs. Phil Bartmann or Mrs. Chris Wirtz, and must be returned by July 4. A bus will be provided for transportation. ST. JOHN'S Graduation exercises, Friday, June 9, in the Com munity club.The class of twenty presented a very fine appearance and took part in the Mass celebrated by Father Leo Bartel, pastor, who also gave a talk to the girls and boys. The music was enjoyed as well as the reception afterward in the Community club. Another milestone in the lives of these young people. B.V M. LUNCHEON Wednesday, June 14, 11 a.m. It was a beautiful day and there was an exceptional crowd of ladies and gentlemen. The food was delightful, salads of all JOHNSBURG BASEBALL Boys' league, Thursday, June 15, at Tiger field, the White Sox team was beaten by the Red Sox, 14-8. This is the Minor division. We also learned that the Mets won first place in the Major league. These boys are really playing ball-there was a very good crowd attending Thursday. They will leave Bush school by cars for the day, carrying a lunch bag. Girls will also receive their pins for the year at this outing.
