The meeting followed with the first item on the agenda being the decision as to a fourth Thursday of each month would be the most convenient time for everyone. The group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Gertrude Anderson read an interesting and amusing article from the newspaper regarding slang expressions, which everyone enjoyed. The entertainment included games with some singing in­ volved which all enjoyed. Everyone is asked to bring his own lunch, with coffee to be made by Harry Wenstrom. Park activities available are shuffleboard, horseshoes and tennis. There will be cards,for those who wish to play. Smith of McHenry, was christened during services at St. Patrick's Catholic church Sunday, June 11. Rev. Edmund Petit and Rev. Raymond Kearney officiated at the ceremony with Rick Smith of Charlotte, Mich., the baby's uncle, and Colleen Foley of McHenry, the baby's cousin, chosen as godparents. Grandparents of the baby are Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Smith of Johnsburg and Mrs. Quentin Walsh of McHenry and the late Quentin Walsh. The baby's mother is the former Judy Walsh. A reminder to prospective parents comes from Bert Hanson, executive director of Memorial hospital for McHenry county at Woodstock. Mr. Hanson announced the next "Preparation for Parenthood" free instructional course-a two evening session- will begin bt 8 p.m. Monday, July Z. The informational program will be held in the hospital dining room on both July 3 and 10, a»a free community service program of Memorial hospital. Both prospective mothers and fathers are invited, and in the past frequently both expectant parents have attended these sessions. Mrs. Fran Scholpp, R.N., obstetrical department supervisor, will take part in the program, which includes a tour of the hospital's maternity department, movies and talks. Vows Pledged In Summer Lutheran Rite The Rev. Roger Schneider officiated at the Lutheran nuptial rite uniting Shirley Marie Lam berg and Michael Raymond Kennebeck as man and wife Saturday, June 24. The vows of marriage were repeated at the altar of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church during a 3:30 p.m. service amidst floral decorations of yellow daisies, pompons, miniature white carnations tinged with aqua and baby's breath. "Wedding Song", "Lord's Prayer" and "We've Only Just Begun" were among musical selections chosen by the bridal couple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lamberg of 4913 W. Prairie avenue, McHenry, and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson of 3808 W. West street, McHenry. The bride chose a bridal gown of ivory silk qiana knit and silk Venice lace styled wfth a sleeveless modified empire bodice accented by a high cameo bib of French knit and Sciffi embroidery. Silk Venice lace garlanded the neckline, sleeves and waistline. Her full length A line skirt draped to a chapel length lace-edged train designed with a scattered lace motif. The bridal veil was held by a camelot cap of matching lace and accented with lace trim. *" The bride was attended by her sister, Mary I&mberg of McHenry, as maid of honBr > while another sister, Terry Lamberg along with Pafti Williams, and sisters of. the bridegroom, Cindy Kennebeck and Geanne Nelson, all of McHenry, acted as bridesm- sids. The attendants were attired in pale aqua qiana formal length gowns fashioned with a self ruffle and lace across the bodice and at the bottom of the • gathered skirts. Matching shawls complemented their outfits. Assisting the bridegroom as best man was Loren Pitzen of Johnsburg with Robert Ein- spar, David Kennebeck, the groom's brother, and Roy and Bruce Lamberg, both brothers of the bride and all of McHenry, acting as groomsmen. Brothers of the bride and groom, Chris Kennebeck and Randy Lam­ berg, handled the duties of ushering. The bridal couple were congratulated by ap­ proximately 200 friends and relatives at the McHenry American Legion post home following the ceremony. After a honeymoon trip to the western states, the, newlyweds^wtfl make their home in Ringwood. The bride is a 1972 graduate of McHenry Community high school .and is employed as a computer-accountant at the McHenry Medical Group. The bridegroom's gift of a diamond necklace was worn by 'Deborph Sue Rosenquist when she joined John Michael Bishop at the attar of Trinity Lutheran church Saturday, June 24, for an exchange of nuptial vows. The 4 o'clock service solemnizing the union was concelebrated by Pastor Pieper and Rev. Kennith Bishop. A friend of the bride, Chris Uphoff, sang musical selections of the couple including "We've Only Just Begun", "Wedding Song", and "Sunrise, Sunset", with organ accompaniment. The church was decorated with bouquets of white gladioli and mums with green ferns and white satin pew ribbons. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Rosenquist of McHenry, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clint Bishop of Wauconda. The bridal gown was of white chiffon accented with pearl encrusted alencon lace fashioned with a scalloped low neckline, bishop laced sleeves, and a long Watteu train with tiered semi-cap veiling finished in matching lace. Satin buttons studded the sleeves and back of the gown. A cousin of the bride, Mrs. Melody Prow, attended the bride as matron of honor. Acting as bridesmaids were Mrs. Marcy Effinger, Mrs. Denise Pride, Mrs. Rosemary Luehr, the bride's cousin, and Deborah Bishop, the groom's sister. Another sister of the groom, Mary Ann Bishop, filled the role of junior bridesmaid and flower girls were Stephanie Luehr, the bride's cousin, and icki Churehurillo, the god- hild of the bride and groom. The. attendants were gowned iH~ Sowing sleeveless flowered dresses designed to give a cape effect. The matron of honor was in yellow and the bridesmaids in blue. The flower girls wore dresses made by the groom's mother and the bride and matching those worn by the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of yellow and blue carnations, daisies, baby's breath and ribbons matching their gowns. Similar baskets of flowers were carried by the flower girls who scattered rose pedals. Headpeices were worn of blue and yellow flowers. Assisting the bridegroom as best man was A1 Epley with groomsmen including Alan Rosenquest, the bride's brother. Bill Bishop, the groom's brother, Rick Prow, and Rich Beasant. Colisins of the bride, David Blow and Master Matthew Luehr, were junior groomsman and ringbearer respectively. The bride's mother wore an apricot colored dress com plimented by a sheer full lengt' cape while Mrs. Bishop chose gown of light green als designed with a cape. Approximately 250 guest* toasted the bridal couple at « reception at the Johnsburg Community club after the ceremony. The newlyweds planned a honeymoon trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and will make their home in Ingleside upon their return. The bride graduated from McHenry Community high school and attended McHenry County college. She is em­ ployed as a head waitress in Fox Lake.
