Ruggero, M D. Dr Bob grew up in Wonder I,ake, as did all ten Ruggero children, graduating from Harrison school, Marian Central high school and Loyola university in Chicago. He has accepted a residency in Radiology at Northwestern university hospital A graduation celebration, hosted by Dr. Santo and Mary Ruggero, was held at the Ruggero home the evening of July 17. About sixty-five people honored Bob and his sisters, Margaret, who graduated in June from Marian Central high school; Cindy, who has her R.N. degree; and Louise, who now has her Master in Education degree from Roosevelt university. LITURGICAL CONFERENCE Father James Garcia, C.S.S.R of Tacoma, Wash., graduate of the Institut Catholique in Paris, France, will conduct a weekend liturgical conference at Christ the King church in Wonder Lake July 27-30. Father Garcia is a Redemp- torist priest on staff of the Palisades Retreat in Tacoma, Wash. He was ordained in 1970 and graduated from his community's New York theologate in 1971. After two years of retreat and parochial ministry on the West Coast, he pursued graduate work specializing in liturgy and sacramental theology at the Institut Catholique in Paris, France. He is an active member of the North American Academy of Liturgy. His main activity is leading parish seminars and weekend retreats in biblical and liturgical spirituality. The schedule for the weekend conference is as follows: Thursday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m., Opening Session; Friday, July 28 at 10 a.m., "Sacramental Life" with emphasis on the Sacrament of Reconciliation as in the New Testament; Friday, July 28 at 2 p.m., Continuation of study of New Rite of Reconciliation; at 7:30 p.m., Parish Ministry "The Lay Person in the Church Today"; Saturday, July 29, at 9:30 a.m., The Meaning of the Liturgy in the Lives of Children and Young People, at 8 p.m. The Saturday night Mass will center on the theme of Spiritual Awakening and Liturgical Renewal; at all Sunday Masses July 30, Father Garcia will speak on the liturgy as it relates to the sacraments.
