BAPTISM Jennifer Jo Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams, was baptized during church services last Sunday RETURNS FOR VISIT A delicious lunch was served last Thursday by Jean Hiller in honor of Lucille Abbt who is visiting with Marge Evans Guests included Tracey Stolle, Marge Evans and young Tommy Hillier Wednesday night, she and Marge Evans were guests of Diana and Jack Schaefer for dinner at a local restaurant Lucille Abbt is a former area resident and now resides in Minonk, 111 UNIVERSITY WEEK Laura Jacobs spent last week at Western university in Macomb where she was enrolled in a course for athletic trainers for girls' sports Her roommate was a girl from Anchorage. Alaska, interested in the same course A F S STUDENT ENROUTE HOME Due to illness, Christer Niklassen was delayed a couple of days starting his trip home However, he left July 2 to catch up with his traveling com­ panions in Michigan where they were to continue on a three week sightseeing bus trip of eastern United States ending up at Washington. D C From there he will embark by plane for Copenhagen and then on to his home in Sweden While a student at McHenry high West campus. Christer made his home with Paui and Althea Walkington LEGEND LAKE VACATION One week with no telephone, no TV, no radio -that's a real vacation. No set schedule to f o l l o w - j u s t c o m p l e t e relaxation That was the life the Paul Walkingtons and Alvin Benoys enjoyed last week. Mary Butler and the Jay Walkington family of Addison also joined the group. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Theresa Nelson celebrated her eightieth birthday Sunday, July 9, at St. Patrick's hall. The honored guest party was given by her four children, Harold, Leonard June and Nancy. There were around sixty guests from Mountain Home, Ark., Crete. Harvey, Roscoe, Sterling, Crystal Lake, Hebron, 111., and Indiana and also friends and relatives from the McHenry area. A lot of reminiscing of days gone by and visiting was done by all family and friends. ABOUT TOWN Mr and Mrs. William Dust entertained his mother, Jdrs. Arthur Dust of Palnoo Park, this past week. Visitors to see Nellie Hep­ burn this past week were Mrs. Trudy Andes; Hilda Sysellmayer of Elgin visited last week and Mrs. Gladys Ainger of Hebron stopped in. On Thursday Mrs John Blackmon, Tom Blackmon and grandchildren, Amy and Brad Blackmon, all of Antioch, stopped in to see Nellie. PARSONAGE "GETTOGETHER" Throughout the summer months there will be special get-togethers at the parsonage for everyone in the parish. The purpose of these get-togethers will be to talk about the church of the past-present-future It is hoped that in these small groups we will be able to discuss what ministries you want to see your church in­ volved in during the next year. All ideas will be brought to the administrative board during their August meetings Everyone in the parish will be contacted personally for the parsonage get-together. We hope that you will be able to come and join us' FATHER VISITS FROM ARIZONA Stephanie Sweeney's father, Charlie and Sue Frank of Peoria, Ariz , spent a week here with Stephanie and girls. The occasion was the christening of Linda and Bill Billikas newest addition, Becky Lynn. 'Twas a hot day but little Becky was queen of the day. She was the best baby con­ sidering the temperature and all the activity going on. Bill's parents from Boston were also there. BIRTHDAYS Happy Birthday to Cindy Fleming July 19 and on the twentieth of July we find Gary Linstad and Eiic Betts adding another vear. July 23 we find Ruth Segin and Marion Wiedrich celebrating their natal day and July 25 Marie Eberle, Michael Hogan and Ruth Harrison will add another year.
