From there he telephoned th> Summerdale po-- lice station and notified them. He then called the North Shore Line station Readquarters and reported the robb6ry to his employers. On the north weset side of Chi cago, at 6100 North Rockwell street. the men forced Ross to get out of the car, gave him $2 and ordered him to refurn to Waukesan imme diately. Three armed bandits kidnaped Ralph R. Ross, ticket agent for the North Shore Line at the Edison court station early Monday morning, took his key and forced him to give them the combination to the safe, robbed the station and then took Ross to Chicago where they forced him out and told him to return to Waukegan.© A preliminary cnaeck on the books at the station fix t he amount of loot at about $1,000. Ross, who lives at 239 South Park avenue, Waukegan, left his home aet 5:30 this morning and started to walk to the Edison Court station where he is employed. He had bare-- ly left his front porch when a Hud-- son car pulled un beside him and two-- men, pointing guns at him,. got out and ordered him into the car. He complied with their order and once in the car, they drove him to the corner of Washingtonm and Jack-- son streets, where, coverinz him with a gun, they forced him to gzive up the key to the station and tell them the combination to the@ safe. They returned to the car in a sghort time and had the strong box in which the ticket receipts are kept.
