5. Young and pert-- Pull hair into a high pony tail. Roll on hot curlers. The smaller and more numerous the curl ers. the longer the curls will hold. 6. Triple threat--Good for one with lots of long hair. Pull top hair back and braid a piece from top into a short braid pinned at its base. Section off a segment of hair on each side and braid. Let rest of hair float free 7. Color it bright -- Part hair in center, and make two ponies and braid them with vivid ribbons to match the dress. It's young, and a gay look for peasant-styles. Also very practical for a square dance party. 8. Simple and sweet -- Brush hair back and down sides. Then take a piece of hair from each side and pin it over the back center. Cover with a bow or a fresh flower to give a finished and with it look. 9. The minute revival -- The easiest and quickest way to give your hair the fresh look is to bend over and brush all hair over face. Then flop it back and smooth stray hair down by combing or brushing lightly. Hair will look full and bouncy. Almost as though it has been freshly washed and set. 1 0 . ' Fun films galore Tricks for tresses let you be a Houdini with your hair! A year of learning to make lightening changes for her many public appearances had made Christy Moller, America's Junior Miss for 1977, appreciate the versatil ity of her shoulder length hair. Here are some of the tricks she learned which have given her the reputation of being a quick change artist --the Houdini of the hair! She'll put them to good use this fall when she gets into full-time studies for a career in news ^telecasting. 1. Out of the eyes -- For tennis and other active sports, there is nothing like a headband or a wide ribbon to keep hair out of eyes and looking attractive. 2. Neat and feminine -- Brush hair off face and pull sides up with combs. It will give face a narrower look. For an added feminine touch pull a piece out above each ear and put into pin curls. Take out pins just before leaving room and lightly pull hair out into soft tendril. A touch of romanticism to go with the ruffled evening dress. 3. Hint of the Orient -- Pull a section of hair back and to one side into a small high pony. Wrap base with a bright ribbon oriental style so pony stands up and away from head. 4. The soft go-everywhere look--Roll hair wn large curlers, spray with Miss Breck Hair Spray. Apply make up--and hair is ready to "be combed out into soft waves and curls. one side, into a swirling wave between the eye and ear, then pull it up and pin at back of the crown. Brush the back and side hair into a high back pony, wind the ends into a .soft high bun and pin into place spray ing and tucking in loose ends. YOU, TOO, can be a Houdini with your hair. First, be sure that it's in good condition. Get a good trim--dead ends make styling hair difficult. Wash hair at least twice a week--more if it is oily. Use a shampoo de signed for your hair such as one of the new Breck shampoos for dry, normal or oily hair. A creme rinse after the shampoo adds the manageability needed to achieve these hair styles.
