Eight Years Of Recycling The McHenry County Defenders will celebrate the completion of eight years of recycling with the Dec. 16 drive.- Defenders are not only responsible for the Crystal Lake drives of eight years but also the drives that have been held in McHenry for almost five years Other cities in McHenry county have become involved in recycling too Cary, Har­ vard,* Lake Zurich and Woodstock, along with other organizations that hold their own drives and the permanent trailer located on Route 14 in Crystal Lake. Throughout the county, millions of pounds of paper and thousands of pounds of glass, tin and aluminum have been recycled.
