Johnsburg held the lead from the initial jump ball and maintained a 3 to 5 point margin over the SoBos until early in the fourth quarter when senior guard Scott Dixon called to the bench after committing his fourth personal foul. With about four minutes remaining, South Beloit took the lead for the only time in the ball game, 46-44. The score was tied when Dixon returned to the game with about 2:30 remaining. The Johnsburg captain scored eight points in the fourth quarter and sparked his team offensively. The Skyhawks built an 11 point margin of victory in the final •two" minutes of action.
