The glass block windows are being installed and hopefully other renovation work on the community house can be started. It's time to start thinking of the general meeting that will be taking place in April. There will be a nominating committee forming soon, looking for candidates to run for offiqe. Further information on the general meeting will be ap­ pearing in this column. WOMEN'S CLUB The Lakeland Park Women's Club will hold it's monthly meeting this Thursday evening at the Community house. Since we are having a Potluck dinner* the doors to the Community house will be opened at 6 p.m.. Spring luncheon plans and the spaghetti dinner will be discussed. CONSERVATION CLUB The McCullom Lake Con­ servation club will be holding its monthly meeting on Jan. 18. Please plan to attend this important meeting, as this is the last meeting before the ice derby. The fifth annual Ice Fishing Derby will be held on the weekend of Jan. 20 and 21. There will be hourly and daily prizes. Tickets to the event can be obtained from club mem­ bers or at the door. This is a fun event; so mark your calendars and plan to attend this annual event. T'WAS THE SEASON And many people got together with their families for the holidays. Marie Cross went to Palatine to visit with her daughter, Joan Botthof, and son-in-law, Pete. She spent Christmas week visiting with grandsons, Bob and Peter All had a terrific nne with a lot of activities, some of which included plajlllg with the family's two dober- | mans. Leza and Banner. The 'Moore's traveled on Christmas eve to the home of Anne's sister, Pat Castigilone, and her husband, Ron. Anne's parents,' John and Blanche Blaney. Mary and baby John Reduce the swelling off your dwelling. Paul, and Ron's j>arents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lechman joined in the excitement of watching the Moore children (Kevin, Brian and Suzi) and Castiglione children (Christy, Micheal and Jeanie) opening their many presents. Some of the presents required the help of the mechanical-minded fathers, Steve and Ron. On Christmas the same group gathered at the home of Anne and Steve. Stev»'- mom, Mrs. Anne Moore, also drove up to the holiday with the family. The Warren's spent their Christmas eve at the home of Bruce parent's, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Warren, and Christmas day at Sue's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weidert. Joel, Julie, Emily, Mom, Dad, Sue and Bruce had another beautiful Christmas in Burlington, Wis. At the home of John and Mary Pautz, daughter Tina was thrilled having grandparents Norman and Lois Pautz visit on Christmas Day. Mary prepared a delicious ham dinner for the family. The McGrath family, Rich, Marty, Keith, Craig and Scotty, and Grandmother McGrath stayed home and enjoyed Christmas. Rich's brother, Wally, and wife, Toni came with Chris in from Indiana to celebrate with the McGraths. On another day, Marty's sister, Marianne Bobis, stopped and picked up brother Allen and sister Jackie Stubitsch and came over to the McGrath home, where they all proceeded to Lakemoor to visit Tony, JoAnn, Amy and Sara Stubitsch. Michael, Karen, Schoen and Scotty Aldrich traveled to a warmer climate for their Christmas. . They visited Michael's parents Doris and Homer Aldrich, v.Michael's sister, Suetta, husband Earl Morgan, and their daughter Jennifer, in Rossville, Georgia. f While in Georgia they toured the Dodge trophy plant in Tucker and visited with Sharen Overly, a friend who once resided in Crystal Lake. They had a great time, until they hit the Chicago area on New year's eve and found themselves in the midst of a major snowstorm. WELCOME A special welcome goes out to Christina Barbara Wdowicki who was bom to proud parents A1 and Maureen on Dec. 15. Christin^ tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 4 oz. at the McHenry hospital. » ' Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Caniff of DesPlaines, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wdowicki Sr.. of Nor- thbrook. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wdowidfei, Morton Grove. Brother Jeremy, who is 5 years old, could hardly wait 'till baby Christina came home from the hospital, so he could help Mom take care of her. Congratulations to the Wdowicki family. HAPPY BIRTHDAY - « To Jo Lynn Glosson and Kevin Hahndorf who celebrate on Jan. 10, and to Scott Fish who has his day on Jan. 11.
