And Sunday morning, residents began the formidable task of digging themselves out, removing the snow and trying to get moving, in the top photo, two pieces of heavy equipment work side by side as a team, as they clear a path on Green street, while autos wait. Other residents use shovels and snowblowers to clear their driveways. The woman in the center photo finds her car completely buried. She hoped to have it uncovered in time for work Monday. Bottom photo shows members of the McHenry Rescue squad as they rush to aid a victim on Wiltshire lane in Whispering Oaks. The road was reduced to one lane for traffic, making the trip extremely slow and hazardous.
