New Bridge In Construction A Lakeland Construction Co. crane lowers a steel beam into place as work goes forward on construction of a new bridge over Dutch creek on Rt. 31, north of McHenry. Traffic lights regulate one-way traffic on both sides of the construction until completion, scheduled for Dec. 15. The narrow bridge being removed has long been considered one of the most dangerous spots of highway in this area, resulting in several traffic deaths in recent years.
