Freezing Locks in Freshness Frozen foods are frozen at the peak of perfection, before there has been any deteriora\ tion either nutritionally or in flavor. y Frozen food processors freeze in freshness as soon as possible after picking, often within a few hours. So, frozen vegetables retain more of the qualities of garden-freshness than those processed by any other method. How To Keep Frozen Foods Fresher To keep frozen foods "fresher than fresh," follow proper storage and handling proce dures. Your freezer should show a temperature of 0°F or lower to assure the best reten tion of vitamin content, flavor and texture.
