r 2D Salad Right From The Heart Village of McHenry Shores Jude La Francis 385-5067 fAlifc 3 • FLAINUKALI^K - We-UrttSUA*. rbonUAKl I. HARVARD Admissions: Eugene Conrad and Nick Flesouras of M-'Henry HOSPITAL NO TES I When it comes from the heart, whatever you serve on Valentine's Day will be special. But this Feb. 14, try saying Happy Valentine's Day with a heart-shaped gelatin mold that's deliciously flavored with chopped ham and vegetables. Preparation is as easy as can be, too, using the cutting- chopping attachments of today's food processors, or a food grinder. In just seconds, ham, celery, onion, beets and parsley are prepared in the chopper or grinder and are ready for combining with other ingredients. VALENTINE HAM SALAD 1 pkg. lemon gelatin 1 cup boiling water 1 T. lemon juice Vfe tsp. horseradish 8 ozs. boiled ham 1 small stalk celery. 1 small onion, 1 can beets, well drained parsley V2 cup sour cream In a large bowl combine gelatin and boiling water, stirring until gelatin is dissolved. Blend in lemon juice and horseradish. Set bowl over ice water. Stir until mixture begins to thicken. Chop or grind ham, celery, onion and beets. After chop ping each ingredient, fold into gelatin mixture. Chop parsley to make cup. Fold parsley and sour cream thoroughly into gelatin mixture. Pour into lightly greased 1- quart heart-shaped or other decorative mold. Refrigerate until firm, about three hours. Invert onto serving plate. Garnish with parsley, endive or watercress. Note: To make heart cutouts, dissolve 1 envelope (1 T.) un- flavored gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in cup sour cream, and continue to stir until mixture begins to thicken. Pour into flat shallow pan. Refrigerate until firm, about three hours. Using heart- shaped cookie cutter, cut our hearts and serve with Valentine Ham Salad.
