Conway has directed previously for Townsquare Players. Presently his face is seen on television doing a shampoo commercial as well as other commercials. "Blithe Spirit" was a smash comedy hit on the London and Broadway stages. The ingenious plot written by Noel Coward tells of novelist Charles Condomine, played by Ron Ferraro of Crystal Lake, who invites an eccentric lady medium, Gloria Carr of Woodstock, to his country home in order to learn the language of the occult. Neither Charles nor his second wife, Peg Denker of Crystal Lake, has any idea that the medium's seance could summon back Charles' first wife, Yvonne Alton of McHenry, from the beyond. But in she comes, a jealous and mischievous spirt, to torment Charles and break up the marriage. Producers for "Blithe.- Spirit" are Jim and Kay Hutchings of McHenry. Townsquare Players of McHenry County is community theatre by community residents who strive to offer the best. Since there are more components to theatre than just performing, Townsquare Players extends an invitation to anyone who enjoys theatre to consider joining the group. There is a business side, as well as costuming, properties and advertising, construction and painting. Anyone wishing further information about the group may contact Ron Ferraro or Kay and Jim Hutchings. March 9,16 & 23,1979) Legal Notice NOTICE Public Notice is hereby given that on March 7, A.D. 1979, a certificate was filed in the SCOUT NEWS PACK 162 Once again it's Blue and Gold time. The dinner was held at the American Legion hall, with a huge turnout of parents, families and special guests. Cub Scout Chairman Bob Orin was Master of Ceremonies. He did a fantastic job of introducing the guest, den leaders and board mem bers, and of presenting awards and making announcements, along with a joke or two. The special guests included commander of the American Legion post Mr. Stanly Burlack, Mr. Lester Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Pace, and Father Kearney, who gave the in vocation. The den leaders who received special service awards were Bev Kreutzer, the three year service star; Jackie Palmer, two year star; Art Kreutzer, three year star; Kathy San chez, three year star; and Jose Sanchez, three year star. There was also a special service award for last year's treasurer, Mrs. Godt. The dinner itself, as always, was excellent from the roast beef for the main course right on down to cake for dessert. Each lady attending received a beautiful blue and gold corsage, provided by den three. With Space and Aviation as the main theme, the decora tions were "out of this world". Every den had its own tables, decorated by the boys and their den leaders. Hank Wiley's den two had R2-D2 robot treat cups, with a beautiful Star Wars centerpiece. Linda Hoff's den three had radar name plates, space ship napkin ; rings, and a space ship and planet cen terpiece trimmed in blue and gold. Bev Kreutzer's den five stunned everyone with some three foot rockets, and a lunar landing station centerpiece. Jackie Palmer's den seven made club scout place mats with little hot air balloon treat cups, and a big hot air balloon centerpiece. Art Kreutzer's Webelos den one was all World War II air plane favors. With a Black- Widow P61 as the special centerpiece, Jose Sanchez's Webelos den two had flying saucers as their favors, and robot napkin rings. The decorations were beautiful and the colors fantastic. All the boys worked very hard for this, and deserve to be congratulated. Entertainment was provided by Jackie Palmer's den seven. The boys did a terrific job on a very amusing skit. The highlight of the afternoon was a sing along, conducted by none other than Mr. Andy Pace, who did very well. A good time was had by everyone, and the dinner was a huge success. Now onward and upward to Scout-O-Rama. The American way is to name flu viruses after other countries.
