Rankin Addresses Local BPW The McHenry Business and Professional Women's club will hold its monthly meeting April 16 at Andre's Steak House, Richmond, 7 p.m. The speaker for the evening will be Mr. Douglas C. Rankin, executive director of the Woodstock Opera House. Rankin holds his A.B. Degree in Economics and Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, and his M.B.A. specializing in non­ profit cultural institutions from the University of California at Los Angeles. He came to Woodstock in the fall of 1976 from a similar position in Walnut Creek, Calif., a community near San Francisco. After two years of operation since its restoration, the Woodstock Opera House now features a year-round calendar of activities Including com­ munity and professional theatre, concert series, art e x h i b i t i o n s , p u b l i c a n d organizational meetings and presentations, and general entertainment. Mr. Rankin will discuss the development of the Woodstock Opera House and its future direction. Guests are welcome, and reservations can be made by calling 385-0258. Communion breakfast will be served in the K.C. hall following the 8 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's. It will be hosted by Mary Freund, Alvira Nye, Marie Larkin, Rita Martin, Dorothy Adams, Ramona Raebon, Veronica Romkowske and Hermina Kinsala. Reservations for the Mother's Day banquet at McHenry country club, the evening of May 15, are being taken before May 8 by chairlady Eleanor Freund, Martha Cossey, Clara Slegar, or Susanna Marshall. A regular meeting on May 17 and the installation of new officers potluck meeting on June 21 will close the calendar year for the present officers and members. Daurio, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Daurio, McHenry. Miss Zancha is a 1976 graduate of Crystal Lake high school, and is employed as a computer operator. Her fiance, a 1972 graduate of McHenry high school, is employed by the state of Illinois, Department of Transportation. St. Agatha Court 777 Installs New Officers The installation of officers of St. Agatha Court 777 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters will take place on Tuesday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnsburg Community club. A pot luck supper will precede the meeting. The new officers elected at t h e M a r c h m e e t i n g a r e president, Laura Schmitt; vice president, Katie Huff; recor­ ding secretary, Elaine Miller; finance secretary, Jane Mann; and treasurer, Evelyn Diedrich. Final plans are being made for the twenty-fifth Rockford Diocesan conference to be held on April 22 at Chapel Hill country club. St. Agatha Court 777 is the host court. The Seniors Plan Major League Baseball Trips agenda begins with registration at 10 a.m.; Mass at 10:45 a.m. with Bishop Arthur J. O'Neill as celebrant; dinner at noon, and the program and meeting following. Reservations are to be made by April 17 to Mrs. George Mann. The committee for the April 17 meeting is Mrs. David E. Baseball fans among the members of the McHenry Senior Citizens club learned at the April 9 meeting that John Doerr, tour chairman, has arranged trips to two baseball games during June. Bus for the Milwaukee-Kansas City game will leave from the parking lot of the McHenry Savings and Loan at 10:30a.m. June 16, and a bus for the Cubs-Philadelphia game will leave June 26, from the same location, and at the same time. Reservations should be made promptly, since tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. Two reservations are still available for the bus-luncheon- theater trip to the Fireside restaurant to see the play "Oklahoma". Please make reservations with Ruth Fradell promptly. Tickets are still available for the annual spring smorgasbord, "Spring Fling", scheduled for Monday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. at West Campus cafeteria. As seating is limited, contact Ruth Fradell. John Doerr, tour chairman, is arranging a three-day trip to the national Shrine of our Lady of the Snows for May 23, 24 and 25. Vice president Paul Leub- scher, advised that there are a few reservations available for the bowling banquet to be held at the Blue Canary restaurant in Milwaukee on Friday, May 4. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m. from the McHenry Savings and Loan. Contact Mr. Leubscher for reservations. After the business meeting the McHenry Choral club, directed by Miss Adele Froehlich, presented a delightful program. Some of the selections enjoyed by the Seniors were chosen from the choral club's Spring Concert, scheduled for Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22, at West Campus auditorium. The executive committee of the club will meet at the McHenry Public Library on Monday, May 7, at 10 a.m. The next regular meeting will be on Monday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. at West Campus. Wanda Zima, program chairlady, has a pleasurable program plan­ ned, a male chorus from the Swedish Glee Club of W a u k e g a n . M e m b e r s a n d guests are most welcome.
