We wish them God's blessing of happiness and good health for many more years to come! • SEQUELTO 'WHY?" In the May 16 Johnsburg column there was an article headed "Why?". This was in regard to the collection of aluminum cans by the John sburg Outdoor club for their canoe trips under Mr. Rigby, science teacher. Now, we have the answer -- the cans were removed for the purpose of re-cycling, as they were intended to be, without malicious intent, by a group of Boy Scouts who felt they were earring out a civic duty to take the garbage bags filled with the cans from the grounds of the Johnsburg junior high, before their removal by a disposal company truck. As is often the case, lessons are learned from an incident. But, it had a happy ending -- and we are indebted to a good "Scout", who brought us the answer! P.TO. Thompson urged Illinois fuel consumers, par ticularly motorists, to "respond but not overreact" to the fact that there will be less fuel available in the next few months than is normally consumed. Thompson said his discussions with oil firms and Illinois state government staff members indicate about 22 million fewer gallons of gasoline will be available during May than in May of 1978. The four areas of action available to Illinois outlined by Thompson, are voluntary energy conservation, man datory conservation if volun tary action does not produce adequate savings, emergency set aside program, main tenance of convenience and equity, thereby avoiding panic- buying of motor fuels. program coordinator.
