McHenry High School Football Schedule Returning Warrior teammates, seniors Nancy Glick (left) and Sue Hutchinson, receive a few pointers from tennis coach Gary Gray. Warrior Girls Face Tough Tank Season After a year of swimming during the winter months, the girls' swimming team at McHenry high school will swim again in the fall. Coach Mike Shanahan held his first practice last week and found six returning lettermen among the 23 candidates for the team. The girls have a tough schedule and will open the season at home against Elgin Larkin on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 4:30 p.m. at the West Campus pool. Returning lettermen are: Tonee Weyland, Kathy Long, Carrie Freund, Diane Johnson, Paula Haney, and Laurie Nank Other team members at this time are: Paula Cook, Lisa Thorn. Barb Bohac, Heidi Dass, Terri Abbink, Diana Gress, Robin Gillespie, Sue Noor, Melissa Cichon, Nan Jenson, Colleen Mullen, Beth Fox, Sharon Foley, Carol Freund, Bev Finkbeiner, Terry Blume and Chris Wenks.
