Since 1971 Virginia and David Gauger and their six children have been ministering to churches, schools, conventions and camps, on an average of over two concerts a week. GAUGER BRASS They offer a wide variety of both sacred and secular music, none of which can be con sidered rock style. In strumentation includes three trumpets, french horn, trombone, "phantom tube", drums, vibraphone and bass guitar. In addition, Sue's flute, an electronic string syn thesizer, and the hosts's organ provide a wide variety of sounds. Everyone participates in vocal numbers. Programs are predominantly musical, but personal testimonies, poetry and even drama in the form of a one-act play are employed in most programs. The Gauger Brass offer a very professional* smooth presentation., which is done in good taste throughout. This year they will have presented over 1,000 concerts, having traveled over 100,000 miles in doing so. They have released four or more full length L.P. record albums, and their story has been heard worldwide as dramatized on the unshackled radio drama produced by the Pacific Garden Mission of Chicago. At their last presentation, it was told that jfour of their children were in college, one at Wheaton and three at Moody Bible institute. Free will offerings are taken to offset the expenses of the family, and the remainder goes into the boys' college tuition fund. Pastor Gerald Robertson invites the community to, not only come to hear this family, but to participate in the entire day's program. It will be a time of worship and fellowship on the church grounds.
