I The Ladies auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600 of McHenry is currently seeking new members and encouraging present members to renew their membership with payment of their 1980 dues. Eligibility for becoming a member of the Ladies auxiliary is through an honorable discharged officer or enlisted man who has had service in the armed forces of the United States entitling them to the award of a campaign badge. Michael and Dawn Bishop of Ringwood had their second child Sept. 20 in McHenry hospital. Michael Thomas weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz., and joins a sister, Nicole Marie. Maternal grandparents are James and Sandra Conway of McHenry. Linder and Beverly Bishop of McHenry are the paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence John Kitzinger, 5220 Willow, McHenry, had their first child Sept^ 14 at Lake Forest hospital. Nicole Lynn Kitzinger is granddaughter to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Trent, Jr., Wayne, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kitzinger, Mundelein, 111. Conrad Paul and Wendy Lee Eltman, 6201 Giant Oaks road, Ringwood, had their second daughter, Lyndsy Marie, Sept. 18 in McHenry hospital. The 7 lb. 9 oz. baby joins sister, Amy Jo, who is 2 years and 4 months. Maternal grandparents are "Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richter of DesPlaines. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad F. Eltman, Grapevine, Tex., are the paternal grand­ parents. Great-grandparents are Elsie Richter of Sunnyside, Rudolf Wagner of Long Grove, Frances Eltman of Chicago and Albert Paulson of California. Among recent births recorded at Memorial hospital for McHenry county, Wood­ stock, was the Sept. 20 birth of a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Oliva of McHenry, and the Sept. 23 birth of a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Truax, McHenry. Awards Given For CCD Work On Sunday, Sept. i6, Anne Moore and Sue Warren received an award for out­ standing work in the Held of catechetics. The . award was given by Bishop O'Neill at Saint Peter's Cathedral, Rockford. Kevin, Brian and Suzi Moore, and Joel, Julie and Emily Warren realized their moms were being honored for all the hard work and effort that they put forth in the CCD program at Saint Mary's church. Husbands Steve and Bruce were very pleased to see their wives receive well deserved recognition. Also receiving this special award were Sister LeClaire, Sister Mary Anne and Mrs. Donna Brown of Saint Mary's church. Patricia Ansell of Saint Patrick's church was also honored with this award. CUBSCOUTS Cub Scout registration was held at Valley View recently. There was quite a turn out of new boys entering this new world. If you happen to have missed this registration, you can still register at the pack meeting, held at Valley View or the American Legion on Thursday night, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. CONSERVATION CLUB NEWS Ice Fishing in September? That was one of the topics to be discussed at the last meeting of the McCullom Lake Con­ servation club. You fishermen who look forward to this ex­ citing experience each year can now mark your calendars for the 12th and 13th of January, 1980. The club has moved the date back earlier in January, hoping for better weather, which determines the amount of fish to be caught (and also to stay away from Super Bowl Sunday). As usual, plenty of good food will be provided on the premises and, ofVourse, all those prizes will be awarded hourly. There were thirteen mem­ bers present at the meeting. It is hoped that anyone with an NAIM DIOCESAN MASS Sunday, Sept. 30, Bishop Arthur J. Russell Shaw's Mazda magic studio in Oak Park. The group is currently Chicago-based and is the leading independent magic organization in the Midwest.
