I currently serve as vice- chairman of the commission and I believe it is making a major contribution to im proving mental health services in Illinois." Senator Schaffer has also been named to the following Legislative Commissions: Legislative Advisory Com mittee on Public Aid; Chain of Lakes-Fox River Study Commission; Council on Nutrition; Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Advisory Committee; Committee to study the need for State Catastrophe Health Insurance Programs; and Legislative Advisory Committee to the Regional Transportation Authority. "When the Legislature is not in session," said Senator Schaffer, "one or more of these commissions may be meeting and-or conducting public hearings to determine what needs to be done for the people of Illinois. I want to publicly thank Senate Minority Leader David C. Shapiro of Amboy for naming me to these com- , mittees. By serving on them, I think I can help hold the line on taxes and spending and also recommend the laws I believe are needed for the people." Offer Seminar Series For Small Land Owners SAT. t SUN.
