Autographed Picture Of Pope For "Busha" When she learned that a fellow countryman, Pope John Paul II, was coming to Chicago, Mrs. Josephine Motulewicz of Whispering Oaks wrote a letter to the Pope in care of John Cardinal Cody in Chicago. Mrs. Motulewicz, 87, lovingly called "Busha", told the Pope she was born in Lomz, Poland, not far from Krakow, and came to Afnerica at a young age. While in Chicago she was a member of the 5 Holy Martyrs church. She was surprised and overjoyed this week when she received a personal letter from Cardinal Cody with an autographed, colored picture of the Holy Father. The Cardinal expressed the thanks of the Pope for her letter and said she would receive a note from the Vatican. McHenry county's 1,100 4-H members are "learning by doing" through a number of newly-established projects in club work, Kathi Heberer, extension adviser, said last week during a luncheon honoring both 4-H members and the more than 100 volun tary leaders. One tVend is the formation of clubs devoted exclusively to one project where specialists can assist young people in learning more about that project and expand it through the years. An example of a new club is one with 40 members who have dairy goats. Dog, beef and horse clubs are other examples though those have been in existence for a few years. Another new club concerns a c o m m u n i t y r e s o u r c e development program where young people have a chance to learn more about the com munity in which they live. McHenry county has a total of 47 4-H clubs. The luncheon was hosted b: Cliff Ganschow at the 01 Courthouse Inn, and Karen Kuhlman, McHenry county 4-H queen, presented Ganschow with a 4-H flag to be flown from atop the old courthouse on the Woodstock square. The building formerly housed the extension service, which handles 4-H programming, for many of its 67 years. Craig Scheidecker, extension adviser, said the extension service expects to be in its new headquarters on McHenry avenue, Woodstock, by Nov. 1. Scheidecker said volunteers are fixing up the building, constructing cabinets and organizing the headquarters for the staff of four extension advisers, secretarial help and the several extension-related meetings which are held regularly under University of Illinois extension service auspice. Charles WeTngart, Fair association president, said the fair board is pleased to be able to provide an excellent format in which 4-H members can display their exhibits, view what others are doing and gauge the quality of their own work and effort in relation to others with similar projects. He revealed that on "Wed nesday and Friday of the 1979 fair, all-time record crowds for those dates attended.
