To date, President Nolan has not chosen a new treasurer to replace Mr. Bud Pflug who has tendered his resignation. Mr. Pflug will stay on as treasurer until Mr. Nolan appoints a new treasurer. Mr. Nolan is in the process of screening persons for the position of treasurer. This is an appointed position and not an elected one. * Bids are still coming in for snow removal for this coming winter and a contract will be chosen at the next meeting. Mail delivery in the new sub divisions has been a problem, as the street signs in most of these areas have not yet been installed. The village has opted to put them in for the developers if it is agreeable to them. They will be billed for this service as it is up to the developer to place the signs. The next meeting of the village of Sunnyside will be held on LIFE INSURANCE FOR THE HOME If anything happens to you, your family can still have a home. Because you were thoughtful enough to take out mortgage protection with a life insurance policy » • from Country Life. Should tragedy strike, your family will be able to pay off the entire mortgage with the insurance. Or, they can use the proceeds for other expenses. Life insurance mortgage protection. Sunnyside police officer Rick Lindley came off duty on Saturday, Oct. 13, to find he was guest at a surprise bir thday party. The party, given by his wife Kathy, was held at tfhe home of his in-laws Bill Mitchell, and wife Donna, 4017 Wilmot road. About thirty-five friends and relatives were on hand to surprise Rick. A good time was had by all. BIRTHDAYS This week's birthday greetings go to JoAnn Ken- nebeck who has her day Oct. 22, and Melba Wendell, whose day is Oct. 26. Best wishes to you both for a happy day and many more to come. • COMPLAINTS It has come to my attention in recent weeks that mail is being tampered with in several areas, the Pistakee Terrace area in particular. Mail is being removed from boxes and in many instances being destroyed. Parents, a word to your children, (as it seems it is juveniles doing this) tampering with the mail is a federal of fense. Removing mail from a mail box and destroying it creates many problems. Do you know it takes 6 months to replace a social security check that gets lost or destroyed? For many senior citizens this is the only income they have. Im portant papers come through the mails. So a word to children not to touch other people's mail. You wouldn't want to see your child in trouble for mail tampering. Be careful when you choose toys for children. Some can be blinding instruments in the hands of the young.
