Santa was marvelous as usual; the younger he gets the better he gets. Someone who spent a little extra time on Santa's lap was Shirley Koch, who must have an "in" with Santa. Others who sat on Santa's lap were Charlene Nylander, Cecilia Oakford, Lyda Radisch, Fleda Rogers, Erna Saari, Burnell Roberts, Mary Schaan, Ella Salomon and Zena Thoresen. Needless to say a good time was had by all. Political Corner Skinner In Congressional Race In 13th State Rep. Cal Skinner, Jr., placed his name in contention for the Congressional seat in the 13th district when he spoke at a press conference in Woodstock last Saturday. Skinner will be seeking the congressional post now held by Robert McClory. Before being elected state reprsentative, the 37-year- old Skinner served as McHenry county treasurer.
