Statistics show that the more eastern states are the • tornado states. And no state west of Texas and the Da- kotas sees as many as five tornado clouds or tornadoes a year. Of the other states, tornadoes are most frequent in Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Alabama and South Carolina and frequent in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Maryland, Dela ware and New Jersey. The lower Mississippi valley is the center of the tornado "industry" and heavy thunderstorms, heavy rain and instability of the air are signs these devastating storms could occur. Several tornadoes oc curred in November when extreme cold air masses moved into warmer air cur rents. • ••* The art of cooking does not end with the pre paration of plain food. One night I had a dream I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonged to me, the other to the Lord. When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the foot prints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life, There was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times^in my life. This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it. * "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way, but I have noticed during the more troublesome times in my life there was only one set of footprints, I don't understand why. In the times I needed you most, you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child I love you and would never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." TIIW CARPETS & I 11/1 AREA RUGS
