Many act blindly, an' r'gret it afterward. In this day, wi' th' whole world a watchin' th' out come, it b'hooves us t' take great care which way we move. Seems like a sittin' on a keg o' dynamite, not knowin' which way t' turn, wi'out a setting' it off. In this age, 'tis hard t' b'lieve such things c'n happen, but we, in this America, can't realize what it is like, t' live wi'out our freedoms. Folks, who're controlled in ways which wouldn't be tolerated here, are easy pawns f'r th' rabble-rousers, an' r'spond wi'out a knowin' why, in many instances. It seems reassurin' t' have a man, in charge, who won't go off, half-cocked, t' use force t' bring about a satisfactory conclusion t' th' problem. B'cause we, here in our country o' free thinkin', can't understand th' reasonin' o' folks, who live wi' a greatly different background than we, it is so difficult t' understand why we're involved in the dif ficult sitiation. Me thinks there's a lot more t' it, than meets th' eye. When trust is betrayed, seems like there's no way t' go. This granny feels that people in th' "North Coun tries", want peaceful relations wi' others, an' bein' ruled wi' fear o' con sequences, don't dare t' defy th' strong hold wi' which they're governed. Readin' th' last book o' me Bible, seems like th' pieces o' th' puzzle, 're fittin' t'gether. Wi' th' years a nearin' th' 2,000th mark, one wonders! But. wi' Spring a manifestin' an' th' world a turnin' as usual, it hain't easy t' think o' th' chaos that could affect our lives, more'n th' inflated economical conditions we cope wi' daily. We c'n only hope an' pray that th' good Lord '11 put wisdom into th' minds o' those we trust t' guide our destiny. F'r th' life o' me, an' many wi' whom this granny divulges me views, we can't figger how anyone'd relish a gittin' inter th' melee, but we all hope f'r someone, wi' th' wisdom t' cope judiciously wi' th' trials which b'set us. May God grant this world a peaceful future, an' put at rest, th' minds o' us, who trust in Him.
