About 62 percent of refund offers are for cash. Around 22 percent come as coupons good on a future purchase of the manufacturer's product and the rest are checks. One recent innovation has been the wriable refund. The manufacturer's offer might re quire, for example, three proofs-of-purchase for a f 2 re fund or two proofs-of-purchase for a f1 refund. About 41 percent of refund offers appear in the print media -- newspapers, maga zines and supplements. About 26 percent are on tear-off pads in grocery stores, 16 per cent are in or on the food package and the rest are a combination of these methods. According to the specialists, one of the pitfalls of refund offers is their inxntation to buy products on impulse. The Nielsen Clearing House survey showed that about 36 percent of those people who 'had sent in for refunds were influenced by refund offers to buy• pro ducts they did not normally use or need. Good Nutrition One serving of cooked mus tard greens has only 16 calories but provides 91 percent of the vitamin A, 74 percent of the vitamin C and 12 percent of the calcium in the suggested daily adult nutritional require ments. _ * Special Meeting Of College Board Slated A special meetings of the McHenry County college board, Community College District 528, will be held in the board room of the college, Route 14 and Lucas road, Crystal Lake, Thur sday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. A discussion of consultant's report on heating, ven tilating and air conditioning units, and proposal to study a possible addition to the Main hall building will be held.
