Deceased, File No. 80-P-298 CLAIM NOTICE Notice is given of the death of OSCAR f. WADE, SR., of McHenry, IL. Letters of office were issued on August' 18, 1980, to Oscar T. Claims against the estate may be filed in the office of the Clerk of the Court at 2200 A problem created by custodial help eliminated through the R.I.F. (Reduction In Force) policy in Elementary School District 15 occupied the board in session Tuesday evening. The board recognized the need to have a custodian present when rooms are used for other than classroom purposes. There was agreement that on-call assistance in this area will be necessary. Rental rates for use of classrooms were raised from $12 to $16, and for the gymnasium. $16 to $20. The board learned also that an effort to work out satisfactory arrangements with theMcHenry Parks and Recreation department for the scheduling and super vision of various programs is being finalized this week. Action was taken on various staff and faculty needs. These included naming Dorothy Hollander to the part time position of Landmark Learning center director. All such directors were retained in the R.I.F. decisions, and at Landmark this work was part of the principal's assignment. Because the ad ministration was able to close one class of Ilia at Hilltop that was not earlier foreseen in R.I.F. plans, this additional faculty member will not change the total of professional positions (19) which were cut last Spring. Due to the use of the whitehouse kindergarten, the street, age of children N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, Illinois, 60098, or with the representative, or both , within 6 months from the date of issuance of letters and any claim not filed within that period is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the represen tative and to the attorney within 10 days after it has been filed. Vernon W. Kays, Jr. Clerk of the Court (Pub. Aug. 22,29 & Sept. 5,1980) Legal Notice The Village of McCullom Lake will be holding a Revenue Sharing meeting at the beach house on Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Please attend if you have any suggestions on how the money should be spent. Lesley Curran, Village Clerk Village of McCullum Lk. 4807 McCullom Lk. Rd. (Pub. Sept. 5,1980) FAMILY BUFFET M and the learning center outside of the location, there was felt to be a real need to return one aide to the L a n d m a r k s t a f f . Magadalene Dowe, one of three aides assigned to Landmark last year, was hired to fill the position. Ann Smith, who was motor •„yxra:i=iJT=rr jjBHfflSnEHsEBl aide for Landmark, was employed as an aide to the Early Childhood class. This became necessary when the class was established rather than continue purchase of this service from SEDOM. Administrators -said it is more economical to educate these young children in this way. and also, coupled with the "Developmental" kin dergarten class, it became possible to fund the district's version of Early Childhood class through federal funds. To be in compliance, the board learned it must add an aide to the Learning Disabilities program at Edgebrook, which has a heavy caseload of L.D. pupils. Funding has been secured for the position, which will be filled by Lucille Weingart. It was noted that all R.I.F. teachers who desired to PAGE 9 • PLAINDE ALER- return to the district and who were qualified or requalified by teaching certificate had been rehired. Approval was given also to three others to fill vacancies. They were Lina Ericksen, Elizabeth Ritthaler and Cheryl O'Callahan, all at Hilltop. Contingent on approval by the high school district, the Joseph Frett & Son bid of $15,960 to repair the central office roof was accepted. The two districts will share this cost. In executive session, Su| Richard Farmer alerted FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5.1989 board to a problem that could grow in the years ahead. It involves students in the local schools r e p r e s e n t i n g s i x nationalities, all of them with little or no knowledge of the English language. Also in this special session, he presented to the board his evaluation of administrators within the system.
