With 13 players this year, in contrast to eight one year ago, Stoner feels the numbers are in her favor. "Last year, the players wejre almost assured of a job because of the small number of players, but this year there is more competition with more people around which is making everyone work that much harder," she reasoned. The Hurricanes will look a bit different on the court this year due to the insertion of new strategies and multiple offenses into the Marian game plan. "The team made a list of things over the summer that we have to improve on such as serves, accuracy, making better percentage shots and developing con sistency as a team," she said. Immaculate Conception is the team to beat accor ding to Stoner. "They have a come-back team which took second in the state last year", Stoner sighed.
