JOHNSBURG RESCUE SQUAD There was a rededication of the Rescue Squad building, Johnsburg, Sun­ day, Sept 14 at 2.30 p.m. The structure is a beautiful addition to the area. It's beauty is only part of the greater convenience and time-saving advantages that will permit quicker assistance to our residents. The program was wit­ nessed by many folks, with attention to Father Barters invocation, the U.S. Marine color guard, presentation of colors, the national anthem, the remarks of president Robert J Meyer, and other dignitaries Congratulations to Mary Debrechl for the award she received. Our knowledge of Mary surely proves that she is very deserving of such acknowledgement, for her love and concern of all our people in trouble. 100TH BIRTHDAY Our best wishes to Louise Franz, a resident of Carestoel nursing center, who celebrated her 100th birthday Sept. 19. We hope you enjoyed a great day, Louise, which you will long remember, and may God bless you abundantly. It would be nice to send her a card, even though the exact date has passed.
