BIRTHS HOSPITAL NOTES Mr. and Mrs. Terry M. Miller, 1618 S. Orchard lane, McHenry, announce the birth of their second son, Jacob Earl, Sept. 19. The baby boy was born at Memorial hospital for McHenry county, Wood­ stock, weighed 8 lbs., and measured 20% in. long. He was welcomed home by a brother Ryan, age 4. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James K. Hess of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Miller are the paternal grandparents. Mr. L. C. Williams of West Virginia is the maternal great-grandfather. Christina Lynn is the name chosen by William and Linda Powers, 2916 Hiline drive, McHenry, for their first child. The infant was born Sept. 15, at McHenry hospital, and weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. Leonard F. Sherman of New Hartford, Iowa, is the maternal grandfather. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John J. Powers of Barrington, 111. Richard and Donna Hummel, 7216 Chippewa drive, Wonder Lake, became parents of their first child Sept. 12. Richard Todd was born at McHenry hospital and weighed 7 lbs. Maternal grandparents are Ed and Arlene Resetar of Wonder Lake. Paternal grandparents are Clarence and Genevieve Hummel, also of Wonder Lake. Among other births recently recorded at Har­ vard Memorial hospital, is the Sept. 17 birth of a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hillstrom of Wonder Lake. Basic Woodworking Is College Offering I'VE Gar &t TTER Ford Idea When Henry Ford buiit his first internal combustion engine, his idea was to use it to propel a motorized bike, not an automo­ bile. MCC's adult education program this Fall includes classes in basic wood­ working, furniture repair and refinishing,. and clockr building. There is a basic wood­ working class being taught at the MCC campus, and individualized woodworking classes at Woodstock high school and at Johnsburg high school. The classes meet , on dif­ ferent evenings but all begin at 7 p.m. Most adult education classes begin the week of Sept. 29. Among those hoping to reign over the festivities are Frank Jakubicek and Sue Moulis. Frank, the son of Frank and Mary Jakubicek, lists his hobbies as waterskiing, boating, canoeing and camping. He has taken part in basketball, and golf and is a member of the Outdoor club. Sue, the Senior class president, is the daughter of Joseph and Donna Moulis. She has been active in volleyball, cheerleading, track; took part in the Spring musical; and is a member of the National Honor society. Her hobbies include waterskiing, eating, motorcycling and snowmobiling. Sue's future plans are to attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison and major in math or a foreign language. Gary Guetzloff is the son of Mrs. and Mrs. George Guetzloff. He enjoys sports, curling, canoeing and snowmobiling and participates in golf and basketball. Kelly Breit, the daughter of William and Kathleen Breit, plans to attend college and hopefully become a stewardess. Her hobbies include swimming, horseback riding, boating and sun bathing. Rick Neiss Is the son of Carl and Diane Neiss. His extracurricular credits include football and basketball, and he enjoys waterskiing and swimming. Deborah Poteracki is the daughter of Dennis and Pam Poteracki. Her school activities include cosmotololgy, and she has been active on the pom-pon squad. Personal interests are swimming, snowmobiling. canoeing and boating. Warren Moults, the son of John ami Marlene Moulis, includes football and tennis in his high school activities. He enjoys waterskiing, boating, canoeing snow skiing and snowmobiling. Kerr! Bush is the daughter of Major Donald and Carol Bush. She has been Involved in the pom-pon squad and powder puff football. Her hobbies includt- swimming, gymnastics, horseback riding, wutci skiing, dancing and sun bathing. Her future plans are to attend college and hopefully become a model.
