DECEMBER 3.1980 i Deaths A QUICK RESPONSE-Members of the McHenry Rescue squad work to extricate the driver of this car, which was involved in a collision shortly after noon in front of the Marketplace shopping center last Sunday- The car, driven by James K. Kawell, 46, of 10 Woody Way, Lake-In-The-Hills, reportedly ran into the rear of another auto driven by Jeanne R. Maun, of 7706 Orchard, Wonder Lake, according to McHenry police. CLYDE H.BAILEY Clyde H. Bailey, 84,2022 N. Orchard Beach road, McHenry, died Nov. 27 at McHenry hoapital. Mr. Bailey was born in Denver, Colo., Feb. 20, 18B6, the son of John H. and Pearl Bailey. He moved to McHenry from Chicago in 1941. He was formerly associated with Peter F. Reynolds Realtors, Downs Mohl & Co., Realtors, and Chesterfield Furniture Co., all of Chicago. He was a member of the Enterprise Club of McHenry county. Survivors include his wife, Ethel G., nee Magnuson, whom he married June 26, 1937, in Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Karen) Roti, Crystal Lake, and Mrs. Maury (Jeanne) Richardson, Rolling Hills Estates, Calif; a son, John Bailey of Harbor City, Calif; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Everett (Mildred) Howard of Phoenix, Ariz. A brother, Arthur Bailey, preceded him in death. Visitation was held Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home. Services were conducted Sunday at 2 o'clock at the First United Methodist church with Rev. River road, McHenry, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at McHenry hospital. He was 87 years old, born in Chicago Sept. 25, 1893, the son of Arthur C. and Mary (Dacey) Jordan. Mr. Jordan lived in McHenry 21 years, having come from Chicago. He was a retired yard man for a coal company in Chicago and from 1966 to 1973, drove a school bus for District 15, McHenry. Survivors are his wife, Lilah (Peterson)»whom he married July 10, 1913 in Chicago; a son Richard Jordan of Mason City, Iowa and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William E. Jordan, in January of 1977. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, with Pastor Ralph J. Smith of the First United Methodist church officiating, and burial in Woodland cemetery, McHenry. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like contributionbss to the McHenry Area Rescue Squad. MARTIN GEISHEIMER Martin Geisheimer, 80, of 1006 W. Oeffling, Whispering Hills, McHepy, died Sun­ day, Nov. 30 in the McHenry hospital emergency room, after a sudden illness. He was born Feb. 14, 1900, in Hungary, to Conrad and Katharina (Tindorf) Geisheimer. Mr. Geisheimer was a 13- year resident of the area, Pregnant, NEED HELP? Survivors include his wife Bernice, nee Hoffman, whom he married July 29, 1960 ip Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Del Genio, Ap­ pling, Ga.; Mrs. Frances Heaton and Mrs. Barbara Carr, both of Chicago; Mrs. H. William (Fern) Mc- Phereon, Downers Grove; and Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Hulse, Rolling Meadows; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Olsar of Homewood, 111. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan, nee Long, in July, 1959; his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, at noon, in the George R. Justen & Son funeral home, with Reverend Roger Schneider of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church of­ ficiating. Interment will follow in Irving Park c e m e t e r y , C h i c a g o . Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday, after 3 p.m., in the funeral home. Memorials would be ap­ preciated to the Johnsburg Rescue Squad. EDWARD RASKE, SR. Edward G. Raske, Sr., 7416 Wooded Shore drive, Wonder Lake, died Satur­ day, Nov. 29, at Memorial hospital for McHenry county, Woodstock. He was 57 years old, born in Chicago Dec. 2, 1922, to Elmer and Nettie (Pierce) Raske. Mr. Raske lived in the Wonder Lake area 25 years, having come from Chicago. He was a WW II veteran and a member of the Robert Vanderstraeten Post No. 1169, Wonder Lake. Survivors are his wife, Jane L. (Barden) whom he married May 15, 1943 in Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Donna) Kretsch of Fresno, Cal. and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Donelli of McHenry; one son, Edward R. Raske, Jr. of Wonder Lake; and six grandchildren. Also sur­ viving are one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Gustek of Wonder Lake and three brothers, Arthur Raske of Brooster, N. Y.; Elmer of Rhinelander, Wis.; and Gerald R< of Wonder Lake. A funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. JOHN SKIDMORE John T. Skidmore, age 75, of 4407 Van Bur en street, Ringwood, died Thursday, Nov. 27, at Memorial hospital for McHenry c o u n t y , W o o d s t o c k , following a long illness. He was born June 22, 1906 in Chicago, the son of Ed­ ward and Edith James Skidmore. He was married to Edith Ehlert on March 16, 1940, in Wilmot, Wis. Mr. Skidmore was a painter-decorator all his life, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters Local 194, Chicago and a member of the Zion Lutheran church, McHenry. He is survived by his wife Edith, three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Delores) Malsch of Ringwood, Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Williams of Burleson, Tex. and Mrs. Ronald (Jackie) Creutz of McHenry; a son Edward Skidmore of Mountain, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, six great­ grandchildren and a brother James Skidmore of Knox- ville, Tenn. Funeral services were Monday, 11 a.m., at the Ehorn-Adams funeral home, Richmond, with Reverend Herman Graef officiating, and interment' in Wilmot cemetery. Memorials may be made in his name to the Building fund of Zion Lutheran church. The Richmond Rescue squad was at the scene when police arrived. Authorities believe death was due to natural causes. Weiher was removed to the Hamsher funeral home in Fox Lake.
