Santa himself has promised to stop in on the festivities. Refreshments, games and specially chosen gifts will be distributed to children on a reserved ticket basis. BRUCE SIEGERT RESIDING IN MCHENRY - Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Siegert are making their home in McHenry after a honeymoon trip to Wisconsin. The former Cynthia J. Berg, daughter of Ron and Nancy Berg, 9202 Evergreen drive, Wonder Lake exchanged vows at St. John's Lutheran church, Woodstock. Oct. 18, with Bruce Siegert, son of Caroline Jackson of Round Lake and the late William Siegert. Reverend Walter L. Geist performed the 2 p.m. ceremony. A reception was held at Old Towne hall, Crystal Lake, where 200 relatives and friends toasted the newlyweds. The new Mrs. Siegert, a graduate of Woodstock high school and Don Roberts Beauty school is employed as a beautician. Her husband graduated from McHency Community high school and is a roofer. Lakeland Park Women's St. Mary's Catholic church, McHenry was the setting for the exchange of vows Nov. 29 between the former Julie A. Fenwick of New York, formerly of Chicago, - and Kenneth H. Magrath of New York. Reverend John Buckley officiated at the 1 p.m. solemnization before an altar decorated with baskets of chrysanthemums in Fall shades of yellow, rust and white. Special music was performed by cousins, Sue Sartell and Heidi Reihan- sperger, on the guitar and flute. „ The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fenwick, 3719 W. Waukegan, McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Magrath of Basking Ridge, New Jersey are the parents of the groom. The bride wore an in­ formal ivory floor length gown fashioned in a peasant style. A band of stephanotis adorned her hair and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis and ivy. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her cousin, Ann Timme Knight of Park Ridge, 111. She was attired in an informal, pale blue and white, floor length gown, ecnoing the peasant style of the bride. Her hair was graced with a headband of pale yellow, rust and blue baby chrysanthemums. Her bouquet repeated the floral scheme of the headband and was laced with baby's breath. The duties of best man were handled by John Sweeney of New York, N.Y. Ushers were Thomas Fenwick, Jr. of Freeport, 111., a brother of the bride and a brother of the groom, Michael Magrath of Chicago. The mother of the bride chose a street length gown of blue georgette, featuring a pale blue bodice, graduating in shades of blue, to a deeper blue skirt. A street length gown of mauve print chiffon was the choice of the groom's mother. A p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 2 5 relatives and friends toasted the bridal couple at a reception held at the McHenry Country club. T h e n e w l y w e d s honeymooned in New York City, where they will make their home. The bride received a BA degree at Ripon college, Ripon, Wis. and a MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola university, Chicago. She „ is presently a management consultant for Marine Midland Bank, New York City, and formerly held a similar position with Inland Steel, Chicago. The bridegroom received a BA cum laude at Ripon college and is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology from S y r a c u s e u n i v e r s i t y , Syracuse, N.Y. He is a Fellow in Psychology at New York hospital, Cornell University Medical Center. DECEMBER S, 1*80 Sponsor Christmas Bazaar Sweet Adelines Host Clipped Wings Breakfast With Santa McHenry Sweet Adelines announce their annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa to be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at the First United Methodist church, 3717 W. Main street, McHenry. Margaret Horvath, Break­ fast chairperson, promises a delicious meal of pancakes with butter and syrup, sausage patties, juice and choice of beverage, to be served from 9 a.m; to 1 p.m. Special guests will be Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, who will be available throughout the breakfast to handle last minute Christ­ mas list reminders from girls and boys. The McHenry County Sweet Adelines will perform hourly for everyone's en­ tertainment pleasure during the morning. An added feature of this year's event will be a Holiday Boutique and Bake Sale with handmade crafts and homemade goodies. Children under five will be admitted free when ac­ companied by an adult or older child. Sweet Adelines Inc. is a non-profit organization for the promotion of women's 4- part barbershop harmony., PWP Schedules Party Parents Without Partners Chapter No. 189 will have its annual Family Christmas party at the general meeting Friday, Dec. 5, at the American Legion hall, Oak and Woodstock streets, Crystal Lake. The party will begin at 8 p.m. and all parents are urged to bring their children and a gift for their children so that Santa Claus wil have gifts to hand out. There will be a magician, carole singing and entertainment. Everyone is asked to bring homemade cookies for refreshments. Orientation for prospec­ tive members will be held at 7:30 p.m. and all first-time guests are urged to attend this period so that they may obtain a 45-day trial card and learn more about P.W.P. Admission will be taken at the door for current and prospective members. Children are free. To be eligible for mem­ bership in P.W.P., one must be a parent and be single by reason of death, divorce, separation or never married. Custody of the children is not necessary. A special musical feature will highlight the program. A ladies' quartet, con­ sisting of Kathy Gilpin, Jolene Hagerman, Ginny Henson and Leatha Oates, will present "Christmas in Music". These ladies, all residents of the McHenry county area, enjoy singing at numerous area functions. Inspirational speaker will be Margaret Reese. Mrs. Reese is a chalk artist from Glenwood, 111. and she will include this art in her presentation. All interested ladies are invited to attend the lun­ cheon, held from noon until two o'clock. Court No. 659 Holds Potluck St. Clara Court No. 659, of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, is planning a Mother-Daughter Christmas Potluck Pec. 11, at 6 pjn., in the Mary hall of Montini Middle school. Everyone is to bring a dish to pass. The adult ladies are asked to bring a gift for FISH fo man or woman, with package marked ac­ cordingly. The young Junior ladies are asked to bring an exchange gift for their age. Santa will come to give out all the gifts. Juniors are requested to bring their mothers add grandmothers and the adult ladies are urged to bring their children and gran- children. There will be games and prizes for all. food for FISH and old, usable toys. Mothers are invited and pre-schoolers must be accompanied by an adult. St. Agatha Court No. 777, of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, will hold its annual Christmas luncheon Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Chapel Hill Country club. The card tournament will begin at this luncheon and there will be no meeting Dec. 15. The Junior Girl Foresters will hold_~-!beir potluck Christmas partv on Monday Dec. 8, in the Johnsburg Community club. It will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Each girl is asked to bring an exchange gift, canned Eugenia Kreger, a fifth grader at Edgebrook school is shown putting the finishing touches on one of the craft items that will be on sale at the PTO's first Christmas Basaar, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. In addition to the many craft items, there will be home baked goodies, an "under 12 store", refreshments and, of course, Santa Claus. AU proceeds from this event will benefit the school.
