She's jumped into the 'Alice' TV series with aplomb, has an up­ coming role in the film 'All Night Long' op­ posite Barbra Streisand and has just inked a contract to portray Watergate personality Martha Mitchell--who died a few years ago. The TV bio-pic will start production this summer on location in Washington, D.C. Ladd will also have the title of Executive Pro­ ducer, with the script being adapted from Helen Thomas' chronicles on Mitchell. Thomas is a UPI correspondent.
