The Hurricanes were led most of the season thus far by Mike Eisele, a McHenry lad, who pacedMarian to a 9- 0 record with the victory. McHenry's Cross Country team was edged out in District competition losing by 6 points, but Brian Wright was invited to Sectional running in Mundelien after finishing 20th overall. He carded scores of 36,37,38, or 39 in each of his first nine matches before the Autumn chill raised his scores a bit toward the end of the season and the hot hand transferred to Kirk Barnicle and Brad Adams.
