Deaths ALVIN OTTO Alvin Edward Otto, 2009 N. Ringwood road, McHenry, died Thursday, Jan. 29, at McHenry hospital. He was 38 years old, born in Chicago Feb. 26,1942, the son of Alvin William and Marian (Boesenberg) Otto. Mr. Otto lived in the area 26 years, having come from Chicago, and was an elec­ trician by trade. He was a iiiciuucr of McHenry lodge 691, Loyal Order of Moose and McHenry Post 491 of the American Legion. Survivors include his parents of McHenry; a sister, Mrs. Duane (Doretta) Rankins of McHenry; and several nieces and nephews. * Pastor Graef, of Zion Lutheran church, officiated at funeral services which were held Monday, 1 p.m., at the Peter M. J us ten & Son funeral home. Burial was in Elm Lawn cemetery, Elmhurst, 111. Memorials are requested to the McHenry Area Rescue Squad or the Heart association. CHARLES WOLF Charles G. Wolf, 94, of 1015 N. River road, McHenry, died Saturday, Jan. 31, in Carestoel Professional Care center. He was born Aug. 10, 1886, in Chicago, to Peter and Barbara (Bautes) Wolf. Mr. Wolf lived in the area several years and was a parishioner of St. Mary's church, McHenry. He is survived by two nephews, James Wolf of Thornfield, Mo. and Anthony Wolf of Sun Sabationi, Fla.; and a grandnephew, Mat­ thew Wolf of McHenry There was tk> visitation. Arrangements were handled by the George R. J us ten & Son funeral home. A funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary's with interment in the church cemetery. ANDREW MILLER Andrew LeRoy Miller, 63, of McHenry, Burton's Bridge area, died Sunday, Feb. 1, in Good Shepherd hospital, Barrington. He was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Detroit, Mich., the son of John and Barbara (Lanenbuck) Miller. He was a retired plumber. On May 25, 1951, in Chicago. he married Jeanette C. Amundson, who survives. Other survivors are a son James of Wonder Lake; i«o grandchildren; two brothers, Albert of Fort Valley, Ga. and John of Springdale, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and (me brother. Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend Arnold Schaper of the First Congregational church, Crystal Lake, Monday, 9:30 p.m., at the Querhammer funeral home, Crystal Lake. CATHERINE WALKER Catherine Elizabeth Walker, 64, of 7303 Chippewa drive, Wonder Lake, died Monday, Feb. 2, at Rush- Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital. She was born June 21, 1916, in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Catherine (Carpenter) Culloton. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband Carl D., whom she married Oct. 14, 1939, in Chicago. Also surviving are two sons, Carl W. of Oakland, Cal. and Patrick of Wonder Lake; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Susan) Cutler, Great Lakes; Mrs. Karl (Kaihie**!!) Ruroede, Sn- wyn, 111.; Mary Jo Walker, San Francisco and Ann Walker, Wonder Lake; and five grandchildren. Other survivors are a brother, Edward Culloton of Scottsdale, Ariz, and a sister, Rosemary Walker of Wonder Lake. She was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret and a son Edward; a brother John and a sister Johanna McQuigg. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. A funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, 10 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Wonder Lake Rescue Squad, Company I. LINNEA CEDERGREN Linnea M. Cedergren, 77, of 2610 W. Wyandette, McHenry, died Monday, Feb. 2, at McHenry hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1903, in Sweden, the daughter of Carl andHilma (Carlson) Nelson. Survivors include two sons, Donald and Ralph, both of McHenry; 10 grandchildren; a brother and a sister in Sweden; a daughter-in-law, Emily, of Niles, 111. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Arthur Cedergren, May 15,1974, and a son Robert. Visitation was scheduled Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m., at •Kft pAl^r !M ,1 funeral home. Services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church. Interment will be Friday in Memorial Park, Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Building fund. TAMMY SCHULTZ Tammy Sue Schultz, 16, of 1800 N. Sunset avenue, McHenry, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 3, at Harvard hospital, following a long illness. She was bom Feb. 25, 1964, in Harvard, the daughter of Earl and Gloria (Anderson) Schultz. Miss Schultz was a junior at West campus, McHenry. and a member of the New Generation 4-H club. JOSEPH "ERNE?. Joseph M. Berner, 66, of 421 Steward avenue, Woodstock, died Sunday morning at Fair Oaks nursing home, Crystal Lake. He was born March 28, 1894, in Hartford, Wis., the son of John and Mary (Mc- Namara) Berner. Mr. Berner was a self- employed painter and decorator in Woodstock until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Woodstock Knights of Columbus. He married Pia Fuchs in Woodstock, June 4,1929, and she passed away in 1956. Survivors are two sons, James of Woodstock and Richard of Heyworth, 111.; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Patricia) Stilling of Rich­ mond; Mrs. Donald (Mary Jean) Huff of Wonder Lake; Mrs. Ralph (Joanne) Larsen of Woodstock; 16 grand­ children; one brother and one sister. A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary's church, Woodstock, and burial was in Calvary cemetery.
