Evelyn and Ralph Smith are in charge of the program which will be given by the Reverend Bob Bridges of Park Ridge, 111. Gaynor officiated at the 2:30 p.m. celebration in the church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. The bride graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1976 and from Moser Secretarial school, Chicago, in December of the same year. She is presently employed as a secretary at Littlefuse, Inc., Des Plaines, III. The bridegroom is a 1977 graduate of Badger high school, Lake Geneva, is currently an employee of Adco Van & Storage, Barrington, 111. and plans to attend Lake County college in the Fail to study Mechanical Engineering. The E.C.C. (Executive Coordinating committee) of McHenry County of Beta Sigfra Phi sorority will sponsor a Valentine dance for members and guests Saturday, Feb. 14, at the McHenry V.F.W. hall. Dancing will be from 9 p.m. until l a.m, and tickets may be obtained from members or at the door. At present, four chapters constitute the E.C.C. roster, including Rho Pi and Xi Iota Omicron of Crystal Lake; and Pi Alpha and Xi Kappa Iota of McHenry. Each chapter has chosen a Valentine queen who will be crowned at the dance and presented with a bouquet of red roses. Ingrid Nuhsbaum of Pi Alpha, McHenry, is serving her Ritual of Jewels chapter as treasurer again this year and was previously Publicity chairman. She has been active four years, one in Colorado Delta Psi, Denver and three in McHenry. Mrs. Nuhsbaum and her husband Wilfred came to the United States in 1965, from Dusseldorf. West Germany, ns who will be honored at a dance Feb. 14. Nuhsbaum, PI Alpha, Etta McCarthy, XI Kappa STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD and have two daughters, Heike and Tanja. Her h o b b i e s i n c l u d e photography, skiing and swimming. Sue Splinter of Rho Pi, Crystal Lake, is treasurer of her Ritual of Jewels chapter this year; treasurer of E.C.C.; in her Second year as chapter representative and has been active in sdorority for five years. The mother of two children, Thomas and Julie, Mrs. Splinter is an office manager at Flowerwood in Crystal, Lake and enjoys snowmobiling, gardening and cooking, and especially loves to read. Catherine Williams of Xi Iota Omicron, Crystal Lake, recently transferred to her present chapter with three previous years active participation in sorority. She first joined a Ritual of Jewels chapter in Redmond, Ore. before transferring to a chapter in Streamwooa, 111. where she served as recording secretary and was honored as Girl of the Year. Mrs. Williams is employed in real estate and her interests include golf, fly fishing and needlepoint. She lives in Crystal Lake with her husband. Etta McCarthy of Xi Kappa Iota, McHenry is currently serving as vice- president of her Exemplar chapter in McHenry. She is a chartger member and serves as E.C.C. representative. Mrs. McCarthy, the mother of three sons, Ean, Tyler and Dana, has been a member of sorority for 12 years, progressing from Nu Phi Mu degree. She was a member of Ohio Phi Eta Theta, Cincinnati and Illinois Theta Zeta, Oak Park, holding offices of president, recording secretary and treasurer.. Her hobbies include photography and refunding. Members of Mundelein Nu Kappa chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will also be guests at the dance. Queen Linda Bahna was not present for the picture. A musical package will include several numbers by Doug and Yolanda Armitage if Johnsburg, known as the Joyful Heirs. Featured speaker will be Joan Martin on the topic, "The Best Gift of AH". After dinner the group will go to the church for an evening of fun and fellowship. The "Surprise Night" in January turned out well. Tables were all set and everything was ready when the group started to arrive at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship hall of the First United Methodist church of McHenry. The committee of three had the evening well planned and all under control, and everyone had a good time. "To Help Each Other Smile" is the purpose of the group, comprised of widows and widowers, non- denominational, with no age restrictions, meeting the third Monday of each month for dinner at a local restaurant and then going to the church for a pleasant and entertaining evening. Friendship Club Sets Ladies Guild Double Dilemma Club Slates Guest Speaker Double Dilemma Mothers of Twins club will meet at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, at St. Paul's church, 485«» Woodstock, Crystal Lake. This month's guest speaker will be George Reader who is with the American Red Cross. He will talk on poison, breathing and bleeding. A question and answer session will follow. Tax Advisor Speaks To Widows-Widowers . John R. Saville, a tax consultant, will be the guest speaker at the next THEOS meeting to be held Sunday, Feb. 8. The group is a non- denominational organization for young and middle-aged widows and widowers. The meeting, as always, will be held at 7 p.m. in the lounee of the First Congregational church, 461 Pierson street, Crystal Lake.
