"People on the farm handling anhydrous ammonia are in danger, but there are many who may be in the vicinity of an accident and should know what to do in an emergen cy," she explained. An Indiana study shows that all victims surveyed were familiar with the operation of anhydrous ammonia equipment and were aware of its dangers. "People too often disregard safety precautions, so we want to review prevention steps along with cautions to follow when around anhydrous ammonia," said Mrs. Lillegard. John Scott, safety specialist with the country companies, will present the program. A chili lunch will be served at no cost, and Mrs. Lillegard said reservations "would be helpful in plan ning but are not required."
