The event is being chaired by Jack and Elke TYnovec, Marengo and Gene and Mary Lou Schaefer, Woodstock, and will feature 10 showrooms complete with night club entertainment. The ports of call for "Flight to Entertainment" and chairpersons are: "Las Vegas" (Tom and Mary Beth Smith), "Nashville" (Rick and Mary Yager), "St. Louis" (Mike and Jan Borman), -'New York" (Virginia Zymonas and Dick and Jean Merryman), "Paris" (Bob and Stella Matthews', "Hollywood"- (John and Judy Wett, Bernie and Marge Rickert), "Mexico City" (Wendell and Susan Kolthoff), "New O r l e a n s ' ' ( K a t h y Foresman), and "Ireland" (Dave and Jeanette Kruse). Other division chairmen and their responsibilities include Jim and Barb Champion (tickets), Don Witty (finance), Diane Kelly (publicity), Matt Zachari and Phil Clarke (beverage), Bill Miller (security), John Van Landuyt (construction), Bernie Rickert (electrician), Mary Collins (advance ticket sales), Russ Hopp (hall bars), and Madonna and Herb Burgess (R4R room). Students will also be assisting throughout the Student Council and will o f fe r compl imentary babysitting services and staff the cloak room. "Hurricane Happening" involves nearly 400 parents, alumni and friends of the school in the organization and production of all the entertainment showrooms. A projected goal of $40,000 has been set by the Central committee for this year's "Happening." In addition to enjoying night club entertainment, patrons will also enjoy a delicious sandwich or an evening-capping breakfast in the "St. Louis" room. Snacks and munchies will be available in all rooms, along with popular beverages and refreshments. Advance tickets for "Flight to Entertainment" will go on sale during the last week of March under the direction of chairman Mary Collins of Crystal Lake. Cancer Crusade Opens The annual Crusade for the American Cancer Society in McHenry county began March 5 with the official kickoff dinner at the Old Court House Inn in Woodstock. Charie Clarke, Income Development chairman and this year's crusade chairman, offered a strong challenge to the board members and township crusade leaders to reach McHenry county unit's goal of $55,000. She encouraged both innovative and proven methods of fund- raising and shared with the group successful ex­ periences she had had in Cancer society Crusades in other states. Illinois' goal for 1981 is $6.5 million. This year's unit chairman is Ed Egleston, 455-4900. Crusade chairman, Charie Clarke, can be contacted at 338-6200.
