Deaths HAROLD OWEN Harold Patterson Owen, 84, 1307 N. Richmond road, McHenry, died Tuesday, April 21, at McHenry hospital. He was bom Sept. 6, 1896, in Chicago. Mr. Owen had been a resident of the area since 1937; belonged to the First United Methodist church, McHenry; was a WWI Navy veteran; member of Barracks 1315 Veterans of WWI; member and past commander of American Legion Post 491; member of AF&AM McHenry lodge 158; and was the Technical Editor of American People encyclopedia. He is survived by his wife Reba, nee McCarty, whom he married Sept. 17, 1960. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Phillio (Georgie, "Patsy") Ahlberg, Woodstock and two gragd children. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles and a daughter Marilyn Bradford, in 1958 i\ Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the First United Methodist church, with the Rev. Ralph Smith of­ ficiating. Interment will be in Woodland cemetery, McHenry. Memorials are requested to the First United Methodist church KATHLEEN PETSKA Kathleen A. Petska, 16, of Spring Grove, died Wed­ nesday morning, April 22, at her home, following a long illness. She was born March 18, 1965, in Waukegan, the daughter of Harvey and Lillian (Braden) Petska, Sr. Survivors include her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Waudenia) Bastie, Ingleside and Mrs. Andy (Elaine) McGinnis, Spring Grove; two brothers, Charles and Harvey, Jr., both of Spring Grove. Memorials may be made in her name to the Spring Grove Rescue squad. ALBERTA WILLIAMS Alberta Elizabeth Williams, 5219 N. Richmond road, Ringwood, died Tuesday, April 21, at Winter Park, Fla., while visiting her daughter. She was 87 years old, born in Galena, 111. March 11,1894, the daughter of Albert and Emma Bah- well Schaefer. Mrs. Williams lived in McHenry about 12 years, having come from Chicago arid Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Survivors are one son, Kenneth J. of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. June Stuart, Ringwood, Mrs. Jacqueline Fagan, Pompano Beach, Fla., Mrs. Lorraine Gayle, Winter Park, Fla. and Mrs. Delight Potocki, Schiller Park, 111; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. Carolyn Mallery, Darlington, Wis. and a brother Arthur Schaefer, Hollywood, Cal. She was preceded in death by her husband Verne J. Williams in 1968; two sons, Verne Carol and LaMarr B; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Akin and Mrs. Jule Sher- burn; and a brother Herbert Schaefer. Funeral services will be hplrf Sunday at 2 .H) p.m.. at the Peter M Justen & Son funeral home with Pastor Eric J. Snyder of the Faith Presbyterian church of­ ficiating. Burial will be Monday. 2 p.m., at Green­ wood cemetery, Galena, 111. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 U> 9 p.m. Present Music Program PAGE 5 - PLAINPEALER - FRIDAY. APRIL $4,1961 Tell The World, a choral group of young people, will present a program of music at 6 p. m. Sunday, April 26, at the McHenry Evangelical Free church, located at 3031 W. Lincoln road, McHenry. The Rev. Roy Wiesner, pastor, stated that the group consists of approximately 25 young people from high school freshmen through age 23. They perform con­ temporary and traditional Christian music. There are also special numbers by soloists, trio, quartet and octet. Tell the World was organized in August, 1980, under the sponsorship of the Evangelical Free church of Wauconda to provide an opportunity for young people to express their Christian beliefs in song. Tell the World is directed by Walt Martin, of Island I^ake. He has been involved in church music and bar­ bershop quartet music since his own high school years. He is a graduate of Valparaiso university. His wife, Miriam,a Wheaton coll­ ege graduate, assisted in organizing Tell the World and continues to help manage the group. Members of TTW are Karen Schmuldt, Terri VanAlstine.
