PAGE 3 - PLAIN DEALER - WEDNESDAY, MAY 1,1M1 Foreign Exchange Student Visits Friendship Club When (he Friendship club met for a politick dinner recently in the Fellowship hall of the First United Methodist church, Mary Butler introduced Jenny Roberts, a foreign exchange student from South Africa, who gave a most interesting program. Her pictures were nice, the narration excellent, and all learned quite a bit about South Africa. Ms. Roberts is a delightful and charming young lady and everyone enjoyed the opportunity of visiting with her and getting acquainted with such a lovely person A The evening began with 36 members and two guests singing the Doxology. President Helen Crouch called the meeting to order with words of welcome to the two guests, Linda Andersen and Jenny Roberts and thanked the ladies for the delicious meal Meditations were given by Mary Rose and included a beautiful poem by Helen Steiner Rice entitled, "Easter After Winter" and Scripture readings. Herbert Rose read "Desiderata" which everyone enjoyed. The next meeting of the Friendship club will be Saturday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m., in the Fellowship hall. Bertha and Elmer Stange will have the program and hosts and hostesses will include Daisy and Harold Wildhagen: Eileen and John Godtfredsen; and Lonah and Elver Wendlandt. The Meat committee will consist of Bertha and Elmer Stange; Cleda and I^eonard McCrajcken; Lyda Radisch; Mae Eltoft.
