The new "measured service" offering, approved by the Illinois Commerce com mission in November. 1978, is now available to customers having telephone numbers beginning with "344" or "385". "Measured service will be available on request as a lower-priced alternative to the present local service," said Stan Jozwiak. Wood stock residence service center manager. "A measured service residential call from one McHenry '344' or '385' phone to another McHenry '344' or 385' phone would be one message unit." Jozwiak said "For that one message unit, you could talk as long as you wanted to." "You'll probably save money with the measured service plan if you make less than 52 calls from a residence phone or less than 115 calls from a business phone each month, and if these calls are made only to other '344' or '385' num bers." Bank Building Open "You'll also save inoney with the measured service if you make only a few local calls and a few calls to nearby communities each month." "The new service is described in detail in an insert being mailed wtih each McHenry customer's phone bill. Your service representative can help you decide if measured service will save you money. There won't be any charge to change your present ser vice."
