Walz New York--Although production on the slate of fall '81 programs was stymied because of the writers dispute, it did not impair the producers from recommen­ ding certain casting adjustments within their series. Why were these changes made? In order for certain TV shows to survive, the producers need to keep their central characters challenged either comedically or dramatically every week. This is no easy task, so new people are brought in to make the show more palatable to the viewing audience. Sometimes a weaker secon­ dary character may be jettisoned in favor of a stronger one. Three's Company-- Sexy actress Priscilla Barnes will portray a registered nurse who moves in with Jack and Janet.
