Visitors to the museum will ride streetcars, "L" cars and trolley buses that provided transportation for more than 60 years. Electric interurban cars from the North Shore line also will operate. The North Shore ran from downtown Chicago through the north shore communities to downtown Milwaukee Visitors also can ride Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Car 431. This interurban car carried commuters for more than 30 years between downtown Chicago and the western suburbs and the Fox River Valley towns of Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and Elgin.
