On Thursday afternoon, Aug. 16, friends gathered at the Skidmore home to visit and enjoy a delicious supper. Those attending were Curly's sister Elsie Pacey, Mr aftd Mrs. Lester Hawley, Mr. and Mrs . Herman Frank, all of Twin Lakes. From Wilmot, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stenzel, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Madden, brother Lyle Elhert and Gustie Rasch arrived and Joe Freund of McHenry, and, of course, with Betty, Jerry and the boys there was a total of 12 present. Mildred and Tony Senkerik of Sunnyside and Jackie and Ron Creutz and Billy of McHenry spent Friday evening with their sister and mother. They visited with Betty and Jerry Williams and boys, who left for home in Texas, Sat. morning. Before leaving they were privileged to take a grand tour of Morton Chemical, which they found very interesting. Mabel Thomas of McHenry and Carrie Lou Thomas and daughter Julie of L'Anse, Mich, had supper with Doris and Walt Low. Carrie Lou and Julie arrived in McHenry Thursday evening to spend some time with Mabel and visit other friends and relatives. Sunday found a group at the Low household again enjoying each other ' s company. Marge Femstrom and son Gordon and Mabel Thomas of McHenry stopped in for a visit with the kids after they had attended the Moose picnic at Petersen park in McHenry.
